Are there any The Walking Dead fans here? Lol... The Ones Who Live is so shit but Im amazed at seemingly all the high reviews n ratings, I think its absolute shit just like most of the original, which only the first few seasons were good anyway...

I am now at season 9 after dropping the show 10 years ago. Didnt even realize it was that long, time flies..... I'd say every season is good except 5 which I had to treat with fast-forward, but if you get through it the show picks up again at season 6 and maintains the level for the next 3 seasons.
I dont agree with your assessment. In fact, I am actually surprised that TWD is able to maintain a pretty high level for so many seasons. Usually shows are done and dusted after 5 seasons tops, and with TWD I thoroughly enjoyed 8 of the 9 seasons so far.
Haven't seen The Ones Who Live yet of course, but it does have a high score (88% critics and 89% audience).

Thats fair enough Myesyats I guess I have too high expectations, its hard for any series to maintain their level for that long tbh... keep enjoying it as long as u can is good.

Finished Masters of the Air. think it was overall meh up to the final episode but that one kinda redeemed a bit, 7/10.
Band of Brothers and The Pacific still the undisputed GOATs.

Anyone watching Dark Matter? Like it a lot, the two main leads are great. Jennifer Connelly omg shes like the most beautiful actress n still has it, the blonde look in this last episode kills too

Finished watching Fallout TV show, love the games. So the world is an instant draw to me, outside of Walton Goggins character the characters are quite blend and boring tbh.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
Been watching Snowpiercer from the start until just now starting S4E1... love it
Dunno why I never liked the movie but this series was so good... well at least the first couple of season... as usual, the longer a series goes the quality dips? But its been picking up again nearing end of S3... so have hope for a good S4...
Im biased but Jennifer Connelly even though I been her fan I havent watched all her stuff, shes great in this, also loved Sean Bean in it.
Really appreciate how good the US make series... I never watched much until lately but heard for yrs they are good, hoping for many more good ones to enjoy

When will AI be capable of finishing cancelled TV shows?
I need closure on some things.

So I watched the wrong Dark Matter, sci fi show from 2015. And it turned out to be a glorious mistake, because I really liked the wrong one and it became the right one. Gave me some Firefly vibes,. The Canadian lead actress was very pretty and likeable.
Unfortunately those assholes at SyFy cancelled it after a cliffhanger.

That's the only Dark Matter I've seen and will probably watch. Still mad that one got cancelled. Syfy had a lot of great shows during that run that were Canada-based.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
I was so angry they cancelled it I even got in touch with the writer about it. He still hopes to finish it as a mini-series, the cast want it but he can't get any network behind it yet. He seems determined though.
Hard to believe anything will happen after 7 years.
That particular type of show really tickles my interest, space travel is something that I feel very deeply about, the mistery of it. I will watch practically anything aboard a spaceship. I even watched The Ark on SyFy
Still mad about SGU as well.

Stargate Universe was just hitting its stride when it got cancelled. I felt they struggled at times in the beginning trying to make SG grittier.
Too bad. I was really looking forward to what they were gonna do with it.

Ok having seen TOWL now i will say you're kinda right, its nothing like the original show and exclusively a love story. I guess that's what it was always supposed to be but if you expected it to be a continuation of the mothership show then I see how you would come to that conclusion. Its just about the love, and the action scenes and plot are only an addition. But the description of the show plainly states that it's just a love story so i guess its good for what it is.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
So I remember the Sarah Connor Chronicles and not being interested in it some 15 years ago, but it turns out it continues where T2 left off and it's pretty good actually. It ignores T3.
I always thought anything after T2 was worthless but turns out I was wrong. Lena Headey is Sarah Connor and so far, this is by far the best thing in the franchise after T1 and T2.
