Kessie really fought to his all ability in this game, MOTM ... summer needs some major reconstruction in this team no exception

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Atalanta are an overhyped numpty team that bottle it when it matters.
Almost knew they would lose but dint expect the Verona result tho. Epic chokejob from a team that scored like 18 goals in the last 3 games prior to this game.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
tbh, i dont think Atalanta even played to their best ability, they were even generous i felt in some sense. at the same token when there were ample spaces for leao to take advantage of he just simply didnt do anything noteworthy.
things changed massively when muriel came on, that then forced pioli to actually play almost like 3 CBs with wingback because calabria moved alongside tomori and simon kjaer.
atalanta are far more capable they just didnt show any ruthlessness into the game tham they normally are

they self-destructed at some point because of ADL and now gattuso is leaving too so it looks like Napoli is going to have a very difficult tasks again

dunno how they are going to cope without gattuso ... gattuso had great personal tragedy loosing sister, had his eye damage - on sporting he had to inherit team with the confdience in all time low and brought them up to their best ability ...
even napoli fans acknowledged that gattuso had been great

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Napoli, Leicester, Lyon, Frankfurt = birds of a feather.
I said it after we beat Juve that its strange that people were acting like Napoli were guaranteed to finish top 4. They are perennial chokers. We could have screwed up our game and still get top 4 ala Chelsea. Nice to finish 2nd though. We deserve it. It is representative to our quality throughout the entire season.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Based on the level of these teams, Serie will die an ugly death in the CL
Feel bad for Napoli and Gattuso (damn they choked so bad), but this honestly shows the quality of Juve, who despite having their worst season in the decade, still had the champion mentality to snatch wins at a very opportune time (as evidenced by their Coppa win).
Expect them to compete for the title next year if Inter does a summer fire sale.
Milan was honestly excellent in the first half of the season, but awful in the second half, and that could have ruined all of our previous efforts. It also exposes the limitations of the team and the coach, and I don't expect we can compete for anything next season unless some players massively step-up, or if we manage to get some lucky key signings.
That being said, I am proud of the lads, and being a very young team, I hope they can build something sustainable to compete in the next three-four years.
Congrats to every GL fan who got something for their team, and condolences for those who lost. See you next year for another stressful time (why is rooting for this team so damn stressful)

Gattuso is leaving lol, missed that info
ADL must be the worst boss, just a few can deal with him. He and his club are as provinciale as it gets.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Btw a little trivia
It's the first time we'll see Serie A's big 3 in CL since 2009-10
All of them will get their asses whooped in CL next season anyway but that's another matter altogether

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
at the end Milan even got the 2nd place
Proper position tbf, been Campione d'Inverno and 2nd place for the most time
I'll take willingly a Scudetto above Milan rather than Atalanta
See you in CL, welcome back

meh, most of the 'big' teams look weaker than ever, I'm sure Italian teams will be competitive
I'm really hyped for CL next season, feels nostalgic with all these big names

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
we had juric meltdown post napoli verona game and now inzaghi also came out warning lazio that they have 3 days to renew.
we could see some host of changes in coaching also perhaps next season
