He didn't cost 40M yet. Also, Juve, City, United, Inter and Barca were all interested. With those kinds of parties involved he couldn't have come cheap. City even offered more money, but Alexis was only interested in Barca.

No one is getting benched, there will be rotation between Pedro, Villa and Alexis. Chances are Pedro will have the most amount of minutes between those three.

Great purchase by Barca, they need more depth in the team, and when that is addressed with one of the brightest young players around, that is just top notch!

40M for a 22 year old world class forward who happens to been performing amazingly for both club and country.

Some of you guys need to realize that he's not just a rotation player, he's also Villa's long-term replacement. So all starters are set for the next five years, and depth will not be a problem up top for the next 2.

Sir, I have to agree with you. The guy has potential, but I'm still unconvinced as to where he'll play and if he has what it takes to dislodge the likes of Pedro...
