Poor management from top to bottom. But we don't deserve better, according to fussball at least.

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
So Leganes are going to be short one striker without the ability to sign a replacement. Sounds like a pretty bullshit rule tbh.
I'm also questioning why Barca allowed Carles Perez to leave on loan if they were short on forwards. Now they're going to sign someone clearly not good enough long-term. Wtf is going on over there?
This is worse than signing Kevin-Prince Boateng last season.

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
They let Carles Perez go because, I guess, they presumed with Dembele back there'd be 0 playing time for him,
Nobody expected Dembele to re-injure himself, AGAIN, tbh
But yes. Nobody knows what the fuck is going on at the facilities of this circus. It's a mad house.

Leganes ceo is pissed, saying the rules are unfair and damaging for the club
Agreed.
20million for Braithwaite who will play 10 games LOL great business as per usual

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
Again I say Barto must somehow be getting a piece of these transfer fees into his own freakin pockets since we are continuing to over pay for scrub signings lol, well done to the man, must be making a ton of money for himself.
As mentioned above, selling Malcolm in the summer was a mistake, letting Perez go in the winter, signing the likes of Firpo, and now this. I can imagine when he leaves how much the club will have declined the way things are getting worst and worst.
When is the next president election or whatever? There have been too many negatives in the past year or so, I think many fans want a change, so unless hes very powerful hopefully we can try for someone better perhaps?

And don't forget Francisco Trincão. They just signed him too and he will join in the summer. €31m fee
Player of the month in portugese leauge but still seems like a quite random signing

So Leganes are not allowed to sign a replacement despite Barca activating Braithwaite's release clause

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
been a rule in Spain for many years
It is very unfair, admittedly, but as dumb as Bartomeu is, he's not to be blamed for capitalizing on the rules.

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
a crap rule, but typical of the way business is done in spanish football with administrators who lack ideas and thought process. now leganes need a replacement, but nobody in the spanish authorities thought about that. this was solely made to cater to the big sides in the league. smaller teams don't have that same financial clout to make emergency signings even if its to get a player from the lower divisions

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
Agreed.
Luckily San Iker Casillas is going to become the RFEF president so everything will be fixed in favour of smaller teams within a heartbeat.

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
Will be interesting to see how much of a drop off Leganes have from a goalscoring perspective. Braithwaite was their top scorer apparently.
Will be particularly interesting if they get relegated.

I think this is more of a "when" than an "if". They are currently 19th, Carlos had 6 goals, the rest of the team has 8. Yeah, they are almost definitely going down.

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
at this rate, Barcelona will soon hopefully become bankrupt.
They must have spent a Billion $ since their last successful signing (Neymar in 2013), and got shiiit back for all that investment.
Surprised they aren't bankrupt already.

I can’t disagree that their talent/transfer department has been showing baffling levels of incompetence for the longest time now. That aside, you left out De Jong who is a good, potentially great, long-term signing, to be fair to them.

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
He also left out Rakitic who was tremendous for them in their treble-winning season, Umtiti who was as elite as it gets prior to his nasty injury and Ter Stegen who was and still is a monster of a goalkeeper.
People, there's nothing wrong with spending big to sign great players. What's bad is to spend big on mediocre players.
Barça's transfer policy is great in theory but horrendous in practice. Can you imagine how scary good their team would be with all that money spent if their scouting department actually knew what they were doing?
I admire their willingness to spend big, that's a rare quality these days. But that quality needs to be put in the hands of a competent transfer department in order for it to bear fruits.

€990 million as of last season which is still way more than any other club. It is expected to surpass 1b this season.

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
Understandable given their new shirt deal with NIKE is included. Once our Adidas deal comes into effect we'll blow them all away
Barca are a dodgy club. How can they with all of their other sport categories, wages and transfers not record humongous losses. Something is not right here when we have to save up for seasons to get Mbappe
Too bad Rui Pinto is in jail or he could've given us some juice on Barca
Poor Leganes loses a guy in a relegation scrabble

Didn't Leganes already sell a striker to Sevilla in January? they're beyond fucked.
