Off topic but I think penalty rules for handballs should change. Right now the rules are so punishing for the defenders. Watching Lenglet's penalty, it looks ball to hand to me. Is the hand in an unnatural position? Only people who haven't played football would think so. He is certainly not intentionally trying to handle the ball.

Either that or defenders need to change their game to conform to the new stupid rules.

Yeah, that's a penalty.

No two opinions about that. With VAR, I think clubs should be able to sue for a replay if something like this happens.
There's absolutely no excuse whatsoever why VAR doesn't step in to give a penalty here.

I guess for these dumb refs only handballs and slide tackles are penalties

But you can superplex someone and it's fine. Its even funnier that they revised it with VAR for a solid minute and decided no penalty twice.

it's not a matter of cojones, if the player is out for 5 months or more they have to give a permit, it's in the rules but a lot of conditions have to be met as i understand and only players from within spain can be signed

Sociedad better maintain their asking price for Willian Jose, it cant be above 12 million. I expect la real not to settle for less this preventing the transfer from going through. Barcelona isnt the first club in the history of la Liga to have its strikers out for a lengthy period of time.

It's a special clause that they can activate if certain conditions are met, tito. They're not asking to be above the law here, they're simply following the rules and it's within their right to do so.

The regulations stipulate a club is able to purchase a replacement player outside of the transfer window, as long as the player is playing in the same country and the period of absence is more than four months.

Not only do they have Dembele out, but also Suarez. Allowing them to get a striker now is only fair.
