Re: Calcio Saga 19/20
I think it is a global problem.
Moving player is being impossible, in a certain sense the bubble burst.
For years clubs have overpaid players and everyone pays the bill now because it's complicated to move them.
Not few players have contracts who make as impossible a transfer in lower clubs.
Moreover Paratici had sold some players but they've refused. Same for Inter. We are content with PSG of loan with option to buy , but we could have achieved rich offers if he 'd have accepted ( and who knows, we could have Milinkovic Savic now).
But if Icardi (Inter) or Mandzukic ( Juve ) refuse even important clubs ( Napoli and PSG are attractive clubs and give great contract. Result ? They refuse anyway.) , Marotta and Paratici can do nothing and I feel they can't be so blamed for it.

Re: Calcio Saga 19/20
They cant be blamed for players blocking moves. I dont blame Paratici for that.
The thing to improve is the clarity of the planning. With changing to Paratici and Sarri at the same time the squad planning was delayed and confused. Sarri had to evaluate the whole squad during the market while Paratici had to move the market. There should have probably been more clarity towards the players if the management aligned and made faster decisions. Totally freezing out Matuidi, Can, and Mandzukic would have helped.
Not big mistakes in the end, but their valuations will suffer. Can, Mandzukic, Perin, Rugani(?), Pjaca are gonna at the latest next summer.
Marotta shares part of the blame here, extending the contracts of Khedira, Mandzukic, Matuidi last year was unnecessary. As was signing Emre Can.

Re: Calcio Saga 19/20
Marotta is a smart man, now we can understand why he extend Khedira, Mandzukic etc even if they were clearly at the end of their rope
Either a sabotage job...
... Or more likely, he did it to make sure there was stability for at least one year after his departure. But Paratici actually did many transfers and nobody could predict these players will refuse to move.
I don't think it's much an issue for Juve because of their professionalism. That's why i believe Inter did well by getting rid of unwanted Nainggolan and Icardi even at low cost: they are not known to be mature persons and less drama is the better.

He was supposed to be sold in the initial plan and Can being part of the team. It changed in the end due to Matuidi not wanting to leave and Can being a misfit for Sarri.

This is one of the saddest videos I've watched in recent weeks. Kalidou Koulibaly talks about the time he was racially abused during a Serie A game. This is truly heartbreaking. pic.twitter.com/LJYB2Yd32h

His Players Tribune post was an excellent read as well.
Here it is.
One of my favorite players right now along with Van Dijk. I can think of very few sides he wouldn't walk into.

North Italy is simply more industrialized than Southern Italy.
. The city of Turin joins Milan and Genoa to create the famous “industrial triangle” of Italy, itself playing a major economic role for the country.
In fact Milan is considered as the " Moral Capital of Italy" because it is the economical engine of the Country.
Origins were born after the unification of Italy , Southern economy had remained at that time on agricultural bases, while Northen Italy began that widespreaded and superior process of industrialization . The gap increased during the " Italian economic miracle " , a period of strong economic growth in Italy after the Second World War from the 1950s to the late 1960s- who gave further industrial power to North . In fact in this phases many Southern ppl emigrated to the Nord (and, as every immigration , the racism was consequent, with ppl who didn't want to rent ppl to Southern ppl ).
So the South stayed behind, continues to grow at a slower rate than North and unemployment rate is much higher.
Anyway De Laurentiis wanted to provoke his fans who tend always to the victimization with his words.
And I feel he wasn't so wrong
For me Neapolitan passion is overrated.
They're passionate surely but not more than others.
And when you read Napoli fans give just 8'000
subscriptions in their golden period, while Inter / Milan give 35'000 - 30'000 in their bad period, you realize it is so.

Fiore-Juve and Genoa-Ata are matches im looking forward to
only negative about CL midweeks is that there is less time to catch up with replay of some of the matches that missed watching during Sat/Sun

Re: Calcio Saga 19/20
Our players look disconnected and Fiorentina are doing everything right.
The extreme press should get them tired soon. Hopefully. I think we saw the best of Fiore this first half. Pjanic and Costa went off injured. Everything set for dropping points but surviving that Fiore relatively unharmed looks good for a second half winner.

with Ribéry off, Fiorentina look somewhat deflated and have started to cede possession.
Think there will be a Juve winner, own goal or Ronaldo, soon.
