Thing is tito that Neymar has 3 years left on his contract and PSG don't need the money.  Rabiot tried the same stunt and it failed miserably too.

Either Barca or someone pays the fee that PSG requires or they'll just let the contract run down.

People have a hard time understanding that it's more about saving face than money...  money is a non factor in the literal sense.  The pricetag is about perceptions.

Reason for this PSG-Barca fiasco specifically is how Barca deals with clubs.  Their relationship is horrible with PSG and Qatar overall.  Asking a player to revolt and then looking to use that as leverage to strongarm club may work on some....  but not PSG.

I'm pretty sure no amount less than 222 mil euros (what they paid for Neymar) will be accepted ever just on principal.

FIFA recognizes nothing of the sort.  FIFA recognizes contracts.  More importantly, the labor laws (and laws period) of the country in question trumps everything. And in France, as long as a player is allowed to train normally, there is no requirement for a club to call them or play them. Neymar would have to prove that PSG is in breach of contract and France's labor lawys.

There's nothing in there that states what your wrote lol.

It's a very standard clause where a contract is broken for cause or no cause.  All it says is that whichever party breaks a contract for non cause, that party will need to pay the value of the breach and the penalties involved.

If Neymar were to break his contract now for example, he would need to idemnify PSG 3/5 of his transfer fee that PSG paid + any other damages that PSG can prove + get sanctioned by FIFA.

If PSG were to breach its contract with Neymar (which it never will), it would need to indemnify Neymar as well.

that article is about rupture of contract and the consequence involved. For short if Neymar wants to breaks his contract with PSG, he is going to be suspended from playing for 6 months, he will be personally on the hook to pay PSG along with his new club any club found guilty of inciting a player to break his contract will receive a transfer ban.
