Yeah...  and Mbappe had 39 goals and 17 assists in 43 games... with 4 goals and 5 assists in 8 CL games.  Mbappe did this with no Neymar (only 14 games together) or Cavani (only 10 games together) next to him.  All on his own as the only scoring threat and everyone knew it.  Mouta-Choping was his attacking partner many a time lol.

It's pretty clear who is the better footballer between Neymar and Mbappe and it's not even about age. They are basically lesser versions of Messi and CR respectively

Ronaldo was a winger (and was played like one too in his early years) in a very difficult league with a team that SAF didn't yet get all his pieces together but sure, let's compare without context.

Also, Mbappe was PSG's best performing player when all is said and done but Neymar is still the real fulcrum of the team, well, the attacking 3rd. If he is sold, I would actually feel interested in seeing how things look without him.

CR is very much the reason Mbappe plays the way he does, as do most young players nowadays who benefit from the tactical changes influenced by Messi and CR

In essence he is not even close to CR as a footballer. Technically Mbappe is average compared to CR, he can't keep the ball in tight spaces, isn't anywhere near as good a header and have you seen him try shoot with his left ? Atroucious

He's pretty much a very fast inzaghi and his ceiling isn't that high compared to other players his age because he's not that good at things that can hardly be improved

He might be one of the best attackers of his generation but not some insane talent that can mark an era which Neymar could be if not for his mentality

To be fair to him, his synergy with Messi and Suarez was great, the last time he was there. As for Neymar somehow changing or having his ego permanently boosted during his relatively short stint with PSG, that's nothing but farfetched speculation. Speculation. The favorite word of this forum. He does seem like a self-centered prick, but we have no reason to believe that he would return to Barca, just to start more drama. If he does, I doubt he'll have many suitors left.

Spot on. Barca had MSN for 3 years and only reached the cl sfs once.

They will walk laliga again with or without him but i doubt they will win the cl with Messi in that team tbh.

The most important thing is that perhaps Barca will be watchable again...... Who cares about trophies when you get bored to death by the performances. I prefer more attractive football and less trophies.

Will be surprised if anything changes. Valverde will still funnel the team through a Messi that covers 5m a season. You can only play a 442 with to keep the team balanced because of Messi. Maybe if he actually does a bit of work off the ball in terms of movement and pressing then the team can evolve a bit more.

i'm not sure how he dragged psg down. yeah he's a diva, but they still won the league with both eyes closed. and the competition they flopped in, neymar didn't play in that loss

There is no way we won't score an away goal with Neymar running the counterattacks. Our lack of speed and counter threat upfront has killed us the last 2 years away from home. Press Barca hard on your home soil and who is going to threaten on the break? Coutinho? Slow Suarez? DMessi? Neymar is exactly what we are missing. Of course there is no guarantee for CL success but adding Griezmann, Neymar and De Jong comes a long way to solve our issues.
