What's Your Expectation for the 2019-20 Season?
Re: LFC Season 2019-20
I don't think FSG will slack at this point after doing so much good (and hard) work. Whatever player Klopp needs will be signed.
I think we have to recognize (and appreciate) the difference in philosophies of Klopp and Pep. Unlike Pep, Klopp doesn't want to stack-up players and is eager to try young players for back-up.
While I feel there will be a signature signing, most of the inclusions (GK, LB, CB, RB, L/C/RF) will be utility type.
Don't fret, have faith.

Re: LFC Season 2019-20
last season city won the treble and we came close in the lge but never even tried in the cups. city as we know had a far bigger better squad than us and that is why they have the gap over us. we have lost 2-3 players from the squad. naby is injured clyne is out for 6-8 months and the front 3 will all be very hung over from playing this summer. also city have just added to what was a far bigger and better squad than us to start next season and liverpool have signed a 17yo and are saying we wont sign any other players. so can anyone tell me how the people at liverpool expect us to challange city next season. we made record profits last season and they are saying we cant spend money this window. it looks to me like the owners are happy for city to win the treble and just want to aim for champions lge.

I assume Klopp sees Brewster, Ox and even Keita as new signings. The first 2 were injured last season and Keita didn't play to his potential. If Ox and Keita play to their potential this season, it's like 2 new players in midfield that can actually cause damage and create chances from midfield.
The thing I'm worried about is attack, we absolutely needed a star signing in attack. Origi, Brewster, Shaqiri is nowhere near good enough depth if we want to build a legacy in the upcoming years. We should've splashed big money on a versatile attacker or even 2 attackers to compete with the front 3.
All in all it sucks seeing all these teams splashing money and getting a shitload of great players while we are standing still. This was a great chance to capitalize on our success in the CL. We have the pull and the cash this summer, any player would want to join us atm, we should've bought at least 1 star player.

Re: LFC Season 2019-20
imho Balls all these new players will work
At the very best Ox will save us upto a point. Man can't stay fit for an year and it'll probably take him an year to get to his best.
We are in turmoil, I understand we did this and that but ultimately this team has 0 full back cover, 0 attacking cover and the midfield cover is basically 0 with other formations not working or decent players being injured out.
We have a chance to build and Klopp is screwing that like he always does. I love the man to death but by the end of this season if we aren't where we are supposed to be which is top 2 and CL semis again. I will join Unique, its about time he gets called out for his stubborness and arrogance when he has all the money and resources in the world available. I understand he is old school and is pure towards football and football management but goddamn make it a decent mix of it rather than playing with the same goddamn players that finished 8th

Re: LFC Season 2019-20
Tbh if we have something stacked, it's midfield. We got like 7 players battling for 3 positions, might have an injury prone player or two in there but it's still shitload of really good midfielders, and hopefully Grujic has another great year at Hertha and we have another great midfielder for 2019/20 once Milner and Lallana leave, so we are pretty set in midfield.
The problem is attack and fullback cover, we needed to splash cash on some players there. Then again, Klopp can make some mediocre or decent players perform like great players in a certain role or system, so I guess we'll have to trust him, I won't be surprised if Brewster becomes Firmino v2.0 under Klopp, or Origi has an even crazier season or Shaqiri scores a hattrick in 2020 CL final, all that is possible under Klopp, but I'm still pissed because of 0 signings.

Is it his underdog mentality/identity? Is he happy just creating another batch of Lewandowski, Reus and Götze rather than building a Pep/Fergusonesque juggernaut???

Re: LFC Season 2019-20
its gonna be a really long really poor season imo. am i the only one that noticed that this season we have not sold a star player and this season the club are saying we cant spend big even though we made more money in the last 2 years than in the clubs history.

Chelsea has a transfer ban and Liverpool is serving it for them. At least Chelsea signed Pulisic & Kovacic

Re: LFC Season 2019-20
I don't think it's about money Tbh. It's about getting the right player for the right price. The right price doesn't mean not spending big, but spending big in a dud sets a bad precedent for all future transfers.
Anyways, all four trophies for me please.
Don't Think we can do it with this squad, but didn't expect last season to end up like that either.
Anyways strap yourself in for the ride fellas, but game tonight, kick of the season in style, tough game after the pre season we had.
Get innnnn

Not surprised. 0 tactics, 0 organization, 0 fluidity or movement.
Midfield seems lost and even the full backs are being overrun.
Klopp lad you still have time to sign one player.

Completely turned it around in the second half. Lost on penalties.
The more important one is in a week now. Have to beat Chelsea.

Re: LFC Season 2019-20
#1. Clyne isn't expected to return this yearBusterLfc wrote:Looks like this will be the team for next season:Alisson(Adrian)

#2. Klopp will try the youngsters in the wing-back positions at least sporadically, he really seems to fancy them.
#3. Lovren is comfortable on the right-side. Should signed someone able/comfortable playing as LCB.
#4. Wilson might leave as well.
#5. Klopp must use Shaqiri and Origi so that MFS doesn't have to play 12,000+ minutes.

Re: LFC Season 2019-20
Clyne should return for 2nd part of the season, doubt Klopp will use the youngsters too much as FBs, maybe in some cup games.. I think Gomez will cover for RB and Milner for LB

On Mane:
"We have a lot of options, a lot of different line ups - no player gave me a reason to leave him out, so we have hard decisions on a squad. We have to stay as the team that nobody wants to play against."
