Yes, i see it difficult for him. We have Hazard, Benzema, Jovic, Vinicius, Rodrygo, Asensio ahead of him and probably De Tomas or Mariano. That makes for 7 forwards for 3 positions. And I haven’t even mentioned Brahim!

Plus there are people on this forum insisting that we should also sign a RW.

But granted if that did happen, it would mean Jovic as a reserve and The 3rd striker wouldn’t be needed, so overall numbers don’t change for Lucas!

Fred Hermel is saying that Real Madrid are targeting BOTH Pogba and Mbappe after they finish up with Hazard signing.  They understand that Mbappe is unlikely...  but they want him to know how badly they want him to set it up for the future.  They also want to get a feel what the framework of a future deal might look like with PSG.

Pogba, on the other hand, is the primary target.  Real Madrid want him now according to Hermel.

I mean if Mbappe wants more French players surrounding him, RM is probably going to be the best place out of the elite clubs in the next few years. We already have more French players in the starting XI than PSG. Not to mention Mendy is on his way, potentially Pogba and Ndombele. Maybe Rabiot too, but probably not.

Hazard and Mbappe are best friends fyi and both have stated how much they would love to play together...  they exchange daily with instant message apparently.

There are some reports of Jose Angel Sanchez leaving London without the deal being done for Hazard. This deal just keeps stalling. I feel bad for Hazard, he has been an absolute servant to Chelsea has wanted to leave for years but has remained loyal, and with less than a year left on their contract they are still going to hold him hostage?

What player is going to want to join Chelsea when they treat their legends like this? Not that they have much of a choice who can join with the upcoming transfer ban.

On the other hand it may be a misinterpretation of JAS leaving. Could have finalized the deal and is flying back to Madrid. Who knows, but I am about ready to have this transfer saga finished.

I heard we are a nice club for Eriksen.

It doesn't apply to footballers.  They allow for loopholes, one of which will be professional sports people. There are others. For example, i can get a visa relatively fast in the UK if I opened a bank account in a UK bank for 250k pounds. You just have to be a citizen of a "preferred country" list which the US and France are obviously.

None of this is linear.

Running is too big a word. I would say that he's now powerful enough to make Florentino give a serious thought to his transfer targets, but the final say remains Flo's.
