Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
Last season’s bottom 14 teams (including promoted clubs) have now taken just 6 out of a possible 117 points against this season’s Premier League top 5.

Was Looking at PL Seasons with 2 players from the same team scoring 20 or more league goals (or getting close]
1993–94
Top scorer*-Andy Cole Newcastle United 34
6-Peter Beardsley Newcastle United 20
1994–95
Jürgen Klinsmann Tottenham Hotspur 21
Teddy Sheringham Tottenham Hotspur 18
22 teams until then
=========================
1999–2000
Dwight Yorke Manchester United 20
Andy Cole Manchester United 19
2003–04
Louis Saha Manchester United / Fulham 20
Ruud van Nistelrooy Manchester United 20
2009–10
*Didier Drogba Chelsea 29
Frank Lampard Chelsea 22
2013–14
*Luis Suárez Liverpool 31
2 Daniel Sturridge Liverpool 21
Yaya Touré Manchester City 20
Sergio Agüero Manchester City 17
Edin Džeko Manchester City 16
2015–16
Jamie Vardy Leicester City 24
Riyad Mahrez Leicester City 17
2016–17
*Harry Kane Tottenham Hotspur 29
Dele Alli Tottenham Hotspur 18
2017–18
Sergio Agüero Manchester City 21
Raheem Sterling Manchester City 18
could it be possible for Aguero/Sterling or Auba/Laca this season?

2 points isn't miles. City may be the best team on paper, but they are yet to pull away.

It is not about points. It is about style and performances on the pitch. They are scoring almost at 2.7 goals per game and the same time a tight defence.

Yeah while the gap isn't great atm, judging by performances it's quite clear City are so far ahead of the others it's not even worth entertaining the notion of someone else winning the title.
Pool and Chelsea are grinding out wins with some mediocre to bad performances at times. Only a matter of when do City pull away than if IMO.
Though I can understand Kick seeing it as a possibility since Chelsea built their title-winning season under Conte on mediocre but consistently winning performances
We'll do everyone a favor and beat City this weekend though.

I ain't that amazed with City, they are clear favourites but others can put a challenge imo. City drew with Wolves and were lucky Lamela was still playing NFL on that pitch. They lost to Lyon in the CL too. I think United and Chelsea can upset them in the upcoming fixtures.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
We are still only 2 points behind City while having midfield problems with injuries and players not adapted yet, injured players returning this week. We also have the easiest schedule of all top teams until january, we played everyone from top 5. I think United and Chelsea can pull an upset on City.. If Keita and Fabinho fully adapt in the upcomig easy fixtures and our midfield gets sorted it will be at least a challenge until the end imo
I also wouldn't count anyone out from top 6 this season. Chelsea and Arsenal are up there with fresh new managers, I can easily see them keeping up with City too, I wouldn't count out Spurs and United if they turn it around as well. Also in the january window I can see at least 2 teams blowing big money to get playas. Shit will be interesting
Ofc City are still big favourites to retain, but I think it will at least be much closer than last year and a proper challenge
That said, we are all United fans this weekend Cmon Pogbito you beast Mou masterclass incoming imo

the thing with city is 90% of prem lge teams are scared of them and are beat before the game even kicks off. in the champions lge city dont have the same fear factor and thats why they look like a differnt team.

There are way too many shite teams in the league this season. Basically the whole lower half of the table wouldn't look out of place in the Championship.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
From last season till now City have a record of 10-1-2 against Chelsea, United, Pool and Spurs.
30 goals scored and 11 conceded.
31 points of 39.
Aguero last season didn't play against Chelsea, Spurs and United away. They won those games, Silva didn't future against Spurs they won that. KdB has barely played this season and their still at the top of the table. KdB is out again injured fyi which I bet most people didn't even know and he's probably their best player.
Against Wolverhampton they hit the woodwork 3 times while missing 2 1 v 1 and they goal they conceded was not only offside, but handed balled on. Mahrez decided to send the PK to my backyard against you lot, City actually should've been 11-0-0.
Anything can happen, but right now its hard to look past them and don't think Chelsea and Pool have a squad in the long run to match them.

I agree with this. Fucking Brighton are 12th and their star player who is literally carrying them is 35 year old Glenn Murray.

you see there are lots of ifs and buts that you have used. And the reality is also same, City have no ifs and buts. They have the same team that they won title with in the last season, plus they have added players either from injuries or new signings.
It is impossible to comment about the future but right now City are clear favourites.

No one gives a shit about community shiled its a glorified friendly game and it was sarris first game in charge. And Arsenal was Emery's first game in charge. 0-0 was a fair result at Anfield because both teams were shit that day. We gifted them a penalty out of nothing , its their fault they missed it
And I dont car3 about 2 games in the beginning of the seaso Im talking long term

Frenzy thought a plumber from ukrainian league would dominate the PL, and said a bouncer from Cote d'Ivore aka Bailly would be the best CB in the world in a few years, so no surprise there
