Some direct clashes of top 5 (plus Man U) in the coming weeks:
Next week: Spurs vs. City
Week after: Arsenal vs. Pool
Week after that: City vs. Man U
Week after that again: Spurs vs. Chelsea
Week after that one too: Arsenal vs. Spurs
Week after that one as well: Man U vs. Arsenal
Then the week after that one: Chelsea vs. City
and finally the week after taht one: Liverpool vs. Man U
Spurs probably gonna lose all 3 of those matches.

They don't really look as impressive as last year.
They're solid and they seem to be grinding out wins, which isn't much different than what we've been doing this year I guess.
But I don't know, they just don't seem to be on an upward trend anymore in terms of performance.

I'm not expecting anything from them this season, think they'll battle for fourth with Arsenal though. Be shocked if they achieve anything more than that.

For you, the day Juventus graced your village club was the most important day of your season. But for me, it was Tuesday

I'd still expect them to turn up to the big games and at least make it difficult.

Think spurs will get 4 points from those 3 games.

Interesting quote from Mourinho on facing Everton this weekend:
— Adam Jones (@Adam_Jones94) October 26, 2018
"We knew the club would move in that direction, very good players, players from Barcelona. So that is the level which Everton wants to reach. Their ambitions are very similar to our ambitions.”

Club Statement: New Stadium and Financial Update.
— Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) October 26, 2018
Looks quite bad. New Stadium won't be playable till next year.
They have also tied themselves into a deal with Nike for 10-13 years...

Who would of guessed that from all our new shiny midfield signings this season Shaqiri would be the best one so far?
I didn't expect anything from him tbh, but I'm surprised he's been amazing so far

Is he saying United has sunk to Everton's level? Mina and Gomes are not signings to write home about ffs.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
Arsenal never would have gotten the loan to build the Emirates without the guarantee of Wenger signing a new contract back around 2005. He even helped design the thing. The only one more influential than Wenger in the stadium move was late director Danny Fiszman. Then Wenger helped keep the club in decent financial shape by delivering Champions League football every season. It took a while for fans to realise this because the 2004 title win was still in people's minds so expectations weren't adjusted accordingly.
The last five years are a different story, but I don't need to go into that again.
