Re: Real Madrid vs Espanyol
No wonder Carvajal up his game, Odriozola looks like he can very much be a starter for us. Anyway, a hard half for Madrid as Espanyol are definitely up for this. Imagine if Lope started that cancer side Hala posted, uff, would not have stopped cursing.

Also, Ceballos is playing much better than last week. You know, having midfield balance does help apparently.

I'm so glad Benzema doesn't play for France NT anymore. The numpty would have cost us the WC for sure. Giroud didn't score but he defended and played hard at least... benz doesnt do shit.

Also i don't know why we cross when Benz is in the box. He doesn't attack any balls. Looks like his form lasted 3 games. He is back to his usual self now. Give me Mariano ffs

He made a terrific save and was alright overall. But then again I didn't watch most of the first half so you may be right.

I think being at home where opponents tend to sit back helps a lot... teams look to pressure us in the midfield away from the Bernabeu.Doc wrote:Also, Ceballos is playing much better than last week. You know, having midfield balance does help apparently.
Let him get his feet wet in friendlier Madrid and go from there.

I wouldn't say terrific, Perez shot straight to him. Any goalie at that level saving that.

Re: Real Madrid vs Espanyol
Espanyol are playing exactly like they did last season only this time we are up for it. They can't get the ball past their own half because we are quick to win the ball back. Now with this much needed goal Espanyol will open up and the floodgates will open. Casemiro is the most important player we have, he absolutely cannot get injured so I'd sub him out early

How the hell did playing at home feel like away games last season we have reclaimed the Bernabeu fear factor. Maybe now we'll actually win a clasico at home. Who knows

Good save he had to take. That's been both GK's saves this season so far. Just like Navas's against Roma, even though he kind of milked a couple of those saves a lot
Seems like competition so far has stopped a lot of the drops. For now at least.
Ramos still gives up too many chances. The defending on Courtois's save was horrendous.

Yes! Benzema is subbed off for Mariano. Get that waste of skin out.

Re: Real Madrid vs Espanyol
I think Lopetegui made a mistake with the second sub, wanting to give time to Lucas Vasquez but it's negatively impacting our balance. we did not need him out there, he is not doing anything we were missing

Re: Real Madrid vs Espanyol
Without CEballos in midfield, our press isnt working anymore, just as our ability to play from the back. It's much easier for Espanyol to press now.

I don’t understand why every professional coach keeps doing the same mistakes.

Isco for Llorente? It doesn't make much sense to me, but we'll see I guess.

thank god Llorente came in, midfield has been in completely shambles since Ceballos came off, he was disciplined at least

The second half vs Roma was similar, complete loss of control, everyone trying to do their thing.

Looks like Asensio is allergic to passing the ball to Mariano
