As much as i'd like to see Valverde's road cleared up like that, if Llorente leaves (which he should for his own sake) we def need to get another midfielder.

we need to sign a midfielder because Kovacic left, that's it. Valverde and Llorente are competing for a spot and i prefer Llorente, he can play forward unlike Llorente

The thing is, last season we never played Ceballos or Llorente/Fede. If we actually play them we won’t feel like we have lost a player. If we start rotating more then I am all for bringing in another CM- or if Lopetegui lost faith in Llorente (which he has). Either way we need a CF and CB way more imo.

Only Reguilon is missing but yeah, this is what i want to see, a manager taking chances. I get that it was a big supercup final and he played the usual suspects but that shit aint gonna fly if they are not fit. Play the guys that delivered for you for like a month, those you have the most practice with. the rest will catch up within the next 3 weeks

Why? Both showed how far behind they were in fitness in the Super Cup. Marcelo too but I understand if Lope doesn't want to go with too many raw players together in his first home game

Yes, Nacho has looked inspired, a good half from us, there were moments where i'd liked if Benzema came up to get the ball more, was often sticking very close to Getafe's defensive line. Against very good counter attacking teams we couldnt play this midfield

Lots of passes, not many good attacks. Asensio needs to start taking on players and not pass the ball straight back to Marcelo. Defensively we have improved alot from that horror half against Atleti. I like that Ceballos always looks for the pass but he needs to start playing vertically. Too many sideway passes from him so far

isco having a stinker again. ceballos is really doing great, on both ends of the pitch. like the way we are playing out the back, but i do see what nick is saying, it's not all the way there yet

yeah that's the one thing perez wont be pleased about. No matter what, CR was a big drawn for the fans, all wanted to come see him.

this drop is weird maybe they will need a new strategy price wise to fill the stadium but they need to see how it goes for the next 4-5 home games.

Good game, whole team played well but Asensio and Kroos were in particular excellent. I really hope Asensio can be consistent throughout the season and establish himself as more than a talent. Early days but i feel he has been working on his right foot, had a nice shot in the Atleti saved and a rocket off the post in this match.
