for 20M it's a good deal, he can still give us 2 solid seasons and in the meantime we'll look and try to land someone younger a la Frenkie de Jong.

Have to agree Barto does keep a tight ship, there was not 1 rumour regarding this move, unreal moves behind the scenes

Vidal is like a superior Paulinho so he'll get you alot of goals but just like Paulinho he is not the solution for your midfield

Nah Barca's midfield issues was a question of quality, not fit. If Paulinho was a genuine world class player like Vidal has been then the issue if him being a box to box midfielder and not the traditional Barca CM wouldn't have existed.

I know there's this romantic view of Barca having a Xavi like midfielder but the reality is that's not the issue.

If Vidal is anything like he was 2-3 years ago then it's a great signing, assuming it happens ofc.

Short-term backup solution with not so high wages and definitely not a 5 year contract for about 20 million transfer fee and I'm fine with it.

I was never in denial about the probability of him leaving and I have no problem whatsoever with that. I just was sceptical of the sudden Barca rumours.
Wish him all the best. Top player and he will improve Barca no doubt.

Wow, didnt think we would get him for some reason, just not our type of player. But he is a top all-rounder. If he can hit the form as he was a couple of years back he would be a beast of a player. Really hoping he would.... but it does feel a bit of gamble signing again.... we do that a lot these days...
