I know it's a rather gray area, but is Hazard really worth 150mil???

I know he is a great player, but he is 29 and have got one year left in his contract, surely the premium is too high.

Doesn't really matter. Real haven't invested properly in years, superstars have left or are aging, they need a new Galactico and there's hardly a bigger name, and better player, out there they could sign.

Honestly who cares what a bunch of small group of fans do every fan base has those kinds of fans. Every Madrid fan are extremely happy with Hazard, and most should know Mbappe is unrealistic for now

I'll say this: the club honestly overpaid for Hazard but that's fine. I don't mind the club overpaying for Hazard, the man has become (to me anyway), a legit world class footballer and that level of quality is something you cannot be all cheap about. What I consider bad overpaying is if you're trying to get Rodrigo from Valencia and pay his full release clause (a wonderful 90 million euros). You are NOT gonna get that 90 million worth at all. Also, just wanna say sorry once again to Chelsea about Morata, blame Nick imo.

Is he worth it? Well, we'll see. Literally. You'll only know if something is worth it after the dust has settled and all that.

tbf all players are over priced now. you can shop around and get a bargain but you take a chance if he turns out to be a scrub. clubs have made a rod for there own backs by paying big money for players now the market is crazy.

By this point prices do not surprise me and it is what Real Madrid needed to splash out given they do not seem to have the most shrewd negotiations going into such sagas and it was needed to make a statement from a surprisingly frugal Perez as of recent.

Is it too much given his age? Yes and even in the inflation rates of today.

But is he capable of paying it off? More than certainly and La Liga will be ideal for him should be given freedom by Zidane who has kept an eye on Hazard and watched him since 2011.

He is no Coutinho who has a definite ceiling and I feel this year will be his breakthrough year at what is now his peak and should make a bland Real Madrid far more enjoyable to watch.

Agreed, clubs with that level of resources can easily scout around for really talented players. And then there is topic of coaching which seems to be really underrated. A properly coached team can do great things. But Madrid is accustomed doing one thing so...it is what it is.

true. but klopp is imo the best coach in the world but even he had to shell out £140 mil on a keeper and CB. football has gone mad.

Its a common occurrence with him though. He used to always show up to Chelsea fat. Costa did it once but I figured thats because he had some kind of mental issue going on, but Hazard always did this.

Hes going to blow up like Maradonna when he gets old. Also Madrid fans wont take it the way Chelsea fans did since he was the entire attack. It wont be like that there, and if it is then they are in big trouble.
