I'm really surprised more teams were not in for him. I think its his size that's off putting for his role.
He really had a tremendous season with Sampdoria, he was one of the main reasons they were in the top 4 for the first half of the season.
He also did this once

Had his ankle fractured against Portsmouth in the cup. Should be returning to training soon.
Reading around, it seems he's struggled to settle in the UK and wants to return to Italy.

I remember he and his agent came out a couple of months saying that they love their treatment at Arsenal, but that they wanted to go back to life in Italy
