5m loan + 15m obligation to buy next summer + 10m performance related bonuses
Lmao just seen that.
Meanwhile Arsenal spend a month to announce a player because of these photos and marketing schemes.

Re: The Official Roma Thread
Bruno Fernandes coming in would be very interesting. It's already clear that one of Nainggolan or Strootman are leaving with Ninja closer right now. This would all, but assure it.
That said, Fernandes is on high wages so that could be the difference-maker given that Ninja is one of our highest paid players.
As for the player himself, I liked him more at Samp than Udinese. Good player indeed. I hope he's versatile enough to potentially play further back in midfield. That's where I see him if we do get him. The position behind Dzeko is Cristante's to lose at this point.

Re: The Official Roma Thread
Yeah it's looking like it will be Nainggolan. I hate that its Inter, but Spaletti at least knows how to get the absolute best out of him. EDF has tried, but can't. I'm so much of a Ninja fan that I care more about seeing him play well again than who he plays for at this point.
As for Alisson, when a club like Madrid are balking at his price, that's always a good sign. That has made me a bit more confident in him staying. I think he wants to stay as well. He goes only if he wants to and someone meets the asking price, I'd imagine.

Re: The Official Roma Thread
Cristante, Coric, Nainggolan, Strootman, De Rossi, Pellegrini, Gonalons, Gerson, Florenzi
Too many midfielders, they play with 3. Roma need to sell and don't need Fernandes at the moment imo.
Dzeko, Schick, Defrel
Perotti, El Shaarawy, Under, Kluivert
Also need to sell someone. Hopefully Defrel for Roma's sake
Monchi is like a volume shooter with these transfers at Roma. They need to let some players go.

Premature conclusions
Obviously they'll sell a number of players soon
Even SES is rumoured to leave apart from some of their midfielders
Defrel is most likely leaving too

You called him a volume shooter with his transfers. In my opinion he's bringing new players in because he's letting some of the players go. There will most likely be a heavy exodus in this window. So many players of theirs are rumoured to leave.

Re: The Official Roma Thread
What's cool about what Monchi's doing is that the first 3 deals have been structured in such a way that we've only spent 10m on Marcano (free), Coric (6m), Cristante (5m) and sold Peres for 1m. With the other 20m to spent on Kluivert, that's 30m total for 4 players. While Sabatini did pretty much the same thing, I think the difference here is the cash injection from the CL and kit sponsor deals that can help cushion any loss when the rest of Cristane's fee comes due next season or Schick's as well. It's comfort Saba didn't have unfortunately.
From an FFP perspective, structuring the deals that way lessens the impact FFP will have on our transfer strategy. Obviously we're still going to sell a big player (Nainggolan probably), but if its one of Nainggolan, Strootman, or Manolas, that's likely something we could survive as that beats having to sell all 3 to appease the Kraken.
Alisson doesn't even figure into the convo as we'd have to sell him before the 30th, in the middle of the WC, and that's high unlikely, especially given his suitors have been put off a bit by his price-tag. So that's good news as that means if we do sell him, it would be because our price for him has been met and not for some obligation out of our control. This is meaninfful progress and break from previous summers.

Re: The Official Roma Thread
They'll definitely be making some midfield moves out now
Strootman is available at 32M, Pellegrini at 25M which means Roma's hands are effectively tied should someone come for either or both of them and they are already negotiating the sale of Nainggolan. It seems like they're going with a more youthful approach
Summer is still young though, but it seems like they're going to have a busy mercato

Yes but what is wrong with that, its what he is doing. Of course some will go, you can't have 30 players in the team.

There has been less noise about that recently. In general Juve's mercato has gone pretty quiet.

Makes sense I suppose. Probably the same for just about all of the big clubs before and during the WC. Should pick up after.

Re: The Official Roma Thread
We're close for Ziyech. Ajax are evaluating a 36-38m bid. Personal terms already agreed. Still some details to be sorted.
SES is looking more likely to leave as well. Heibei Fortune are willing to pay 30m for him and pay him 6m a season.
Atleti have entered the race for Nainggolan as Simeone is a fan. They've been reported to have reached out about him.
Fiorentina have expressed interest in Juan Jesus, joining Torino and Marseille.
Sources: Pagine Romaniste, Leggo, Sky Italia, Sport Premium.

Re: The Official Roma Thread
Congrats, i guess
So this means you don't need to sell your pillars anymore, and finally build a squad that will have enough time to reach its peak ?
Selling us Pellegrini is madness

TMW reporting we have a deal for 18-year old Lens defender William Bianda.
If true and unless he's a future world-beater, he's either going on loan to Serie B or the Primavera.

Re: The Official Roma Thread
So apparently calciomercato.com reported that Monchi tried to offer Nainggolan to Besiktas, Galatasaray along with Atleti in an auction before the player was made aware of it. This has angered Nainggolan and caused tension between him and the club.
If true, this was a poor move on Monchi's part. We'll know more in the next few days I imagine.
This and Uncle Jimmy putting his foot in his mouth again mean that it hasn't been a great 24 hours for us.

Re: The Official Roma Thread
Yeah probably.
No clue as to who starts where though. He'd have to duke it out with Cristante for the spot behind Dzeko/Schick.
Kluivert and Under will see tons of time though one of SES/Perotti could very much still in the frame. The other will probably leave though.
As for pivots, not sure about Coric. That kid looks like he needs a steak. He's a stick figure. Seems too small to play in the pivot so he'll probably get small time further up until he bulks up. Those positions will be between DDR, Pellegrini, Strootman and Gonalons. Not much change there.
Karsdorp should feel like a new signing at RB and if we don't sign Peres' replacement, we'll probably see more of Florenzi there. Kolarov should continue at LB and probably Luca Pellegrini as his understudy, another one that'll feel like a new signing. I like that there's been little buzz over Manolas so we should be ok at CB with Marcano and probably Capradossi as the backups. Jesus may or may not stay.
Keeper's pretty simple. Alisson starts if he stays, if he goes we sign someone else and they start or we keep Skorupski and he starts.

Looks like Antonio Mirante will be joining us. Probably as the #2 keeper. RomaPress confirming it's a done dealio via his agent. Skorupski is going in the opposite direction and will be Bolonga's starting keeper for the upcoming season.
