Lol I agree that Stones is a technically fine player. He’s very comfortable on the ball and very good at breaking lines with his passes from deep. But when it comes to his long balls and switching the ball to the other flank they’re truly awful. Genuinely don’t think I’ve seen him successfully switch the play. The ball always goes out of bounds lol.

As for his defending he's improved in the last few years. He still has a big problem though which is he can have a brainfart at any moment so I can still see Otamendi starting ahead of him in the big games.

I read somewhere that the compensation for his sacking would be huge. So maybe you're right.

It would be a pretty expensive affair for United to sack him right now especially with him having signed a new contract recently.
