Let me explain it to the best of my abilities. So this is the biggest thing to hit the World of football...or at least Europa, since the World Cup. Like BitCoin, no one really understands how this Nations League works, but it is kinda cool and the mystery around it makes it even cooler. For example you can qualify for European Cups and World Cups and possibly even Copa libertadores by winning this Nations cup thing, or so I am told?

This new Nations League also means that every single game ever played by national teams will be important, so never again will you see the likes of Emre Can ever getting a chance to play for Germany.

So, League A is the top league, broken into four groups of three,(which seems such an akward number) and the teams that finish bottom of the group are relegated to group B


Full League A draw:

Group 1: Germany, France, Netherlands

Group 2: Belgium, Switzerland, Iceland

Group 3: Portugal, Italy, Poland

Group 4: Spain, England, Croatia

Full League B draw:

How is Austria in League B and frickin Iceland and Switzerland in League A?????? I dont think either of those teams has anyone like Marko Arnatovic!

You can gain promotion to League A by winning your group...I think. Also last place goes to league C. Again, only three team group.

One three team group, but three four teamers in there as well, was this nations league setup by an Italian mathematician? It can not be that hard to make groups with the same amount of teams, can it?

Ok, I get promotion and relegation in the groups, but apparently, each league will have a winner, and they will play in a league nation cup,consisting of 4 league winners so you could have
Germany vs San Marino as one semi final for the greatest team in Europe and Albania vs N Ireland as the other Semi, heck you could have n Ireland as the greatest team in Europe! Not only that, if they failed to qualify for the Euros via normal qualifying, they can get in that way!

I still get the feeling J-Low will be picking the likes of Emre Can for this League of Nations thing.

Great idea then.

They explained the reasoning before as something like "lets replace friendlies with more important games and lets get less Germany-San Marino and more Germany-France by making different divisions"
