firmino upcoming ban.
so how long of a ban is firmino looking at getting. we are well short up top with Sturridge being dead for 2 years and solanke not ready to step up this could ruin any chance we had of a top 4 finish.

If he's proven racist, I want him out of the club this window. If he's not then we're looking at 1-2 games for insulting words.

unless he has video evidence that shows he didn't do it ( and their is no video evidence one way or the other ) he will be found gulty.Nishankly wrote:If he's proven racist, I want him out of the club this window. If he's not then we're looking at 1-2 games for insulting words.

Suarez was not found guilty, The ban was an amalgamation of all his offences to teach him a lesson and set an example. We can expect bans for both the players at the very minimum.

On 16 November, the FA announced it would charge Suárez with "abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour contrary to FA rules", including "a reference to the ethnic origin and/or colour and/or race of Patrice Evra."
Well he was racist for sure but you can see from the statement they leave "a reference" open to interpretation for 3 different things. WTF does "and/or" be used in a verdict. Which is why LFC still supported Suarez because it was a sham of a ban.

Why would he get banned if there is no evidence, from what I've seen , most people who know the lanagugae say he didn't say that word.

because if the FA are faced with a he said she said situation they will have to side with Holgate so it don't look like they are racist.mr-r34 wrote:Why would he get banned if there is no evidence, from what I've seen , most people who know the lanagugae say he didn't say that word.

Re: firmino upcoming ban.
If true hopefully Liverpool handles it better than they did with Suarez. That was horrific. Especially when they had the Suarez shirts. Glen Johnson had the funniest look on his face.

But there's video of what he said, Surley it's not a he said she said, since its not even his native tounge the validity of what he is derstands has to be questioned.

Re: firmino upcoming ban.
the video shows firmino saying you are crazy you are crazy you son of a bitch but after that there is no video showing what he said. the ref was close to him after that when Holgate said he was racist abused. so he will say firmino did it and fermion will say he didn't. the fa will side with Holgate because if they don't people will say they did nothing after a report of racism.mr-r34 wrote:But there's video of what he said, Surley it's not a he said she said, since its not even his native tounge the validity of what he is derstands has to be questioned.

That's the thing. The ref was right there in that moment, even standing between the two.
So if Firmino said something racist that Holgate heard and understood, the ref would have heard and understood it too. But then the ref writes in his report that he "was made aware by Holgate that he alleges...".
Don't think this will be going anywhere.

Re: firmino upcoming ban.
There's literally 5 players around them both and Holgate is the only one that reacts????
Then on top of that, the referee was mic'd up and standing BETWEEN THE TWO (would of caught everything said) and still no one reacted (including linesman + 4th official).
In fact I'm pretty sure the commentators said that when the referee went to talk to the 4th official they were checking to see if Firmino SPAT at Holgate, which he didn't, but I don't think anything racist would of been said. What exactly was he going to call him anyways? The funniest part is Firmino's got the same complextion ffs
The FA have to look into it but nothing will come of it.
With that being said, the worst part is everyone's talking about Firmino abusing the *bleep* in Portuguese instead of Holgate pushing a player into the stands........... so he's probably going to come off unpunished ffs

The fact that there is no proof here unlike the Suarez one where he did use one word regardless of how he intended it to be.
