lost a game but this is the purpose of preseason. just warming up for the season that is to come.

having said that, the penalties are a disgrace. preseason or not.
This is professional football damn it. why the hell are we taking pks like high school drunks? I know a 12 year old who would have taken a better pk shot than our men did today. embarrassing.

it is just preseason after all so I won't be reading into the positives or negatives too much but I thought the passing was surprisingly good for the first match back. As for the negatives- of course the penalties were hard to watch, but our defense in the 1st half in particular was woeful. Martial did well to dribble through but Carvajal and Varane (maybe, not sure) certainly did him a few favors

Would love if Hakimi got a run out with the first team against City. Theo should definitely

Next up on the US tour is Pep's billion dollar team

U21 lads are back in training and may see some minutes towards the end of the game if they are fit enough. They've trained normally with them team

We should definitely rock the 4312 in both halves.

1st half:

Navas
Carvajal-Varane-Nacho-Marcelo
Modric-Casemiro-Kroos
Isco Disco
Benz-Bale

Second half:

Kiko
Hakimi-Tejero-Vallejo-Theo
Kovacic-Llorente-Ceballos
Asensio
Mayoral-Dani Gomez

Not playing that front 3 would probably be a good start. Too rigid and very little movement

I am more excited to see the 2nd half lot tbh if the u21 lads play. They are more exciting to watch

We play our best when Isco or Asensio (or both) are in the game and one of BBC is on the bench.... BY FAR.  That should tell you something.

We also play better when Danilo isn't playing... that's taken care of at least Laughing

Personally I like us to commit to the 4312 that won us the cl. Kroos is correct. That extra mid helps a lot and I prefer that extra mid to be isco. Cr7 is already a St and bale should convert as well as he sure not good on the build up. Who starts with CR7 is up to debate.

But I'm sure Zidane will figure out how to get the best of us again.

Danilo might actually feature against us Laughing Theo's speed vs Danilo's positioning rofl

I also like the 4312 alot more. Not only gives us balance but lets us control the midfield. I love it.

Danilo's sale was our best signing of the season. And how come no one talked about bale's performance. Just watched the highlights and he was looking sharp with good passes and movements. I hope he stays fit.isco and bale feel like new signings. Our transfers have been perfect. Now get Mbappe And sell Benzema and I can go stake my annual salary on Madrid winning CL or La Liga or both

City used this in training today, safe to say these guys will start tomorrow:

Ederson, Kompany, Stones, Otamendi; Walker, Yaya, De Bruyne, Foden, Danilo; Gabriel Jesus, Aguero.

Stop lying through your teeth isco is a bench warmer for a reason it's because he sucks, the team plays slower and more predictable with him and he was by far the worst player in the first game against united, stop with the agenda bs bunch a cowards, every game isco is so good how convenient you guys are wrong about him and no amount of pity praise gonna make him starter.

it's funny how the mbappe news is driving the hate for the bbc harder now but let's pretend its about isco, isco still gonna be a bench warmer cause he is useless, 4 straight season as a benchwarmer still omg so good so amazing lmao like saying that everyday makes it true.

sports is expressing his opinion lol I agree with him, we all have one. You think otherwise boo hoo

We play better with Isco, CL final is an example. Of all 3 finals it's the one we dominated most

Please explain in the most legible text possible why you think isco is not a good player.

If you think Isco is a benchwarmer. explain it to me as thoroughly and coherently as possible. if you are able to do so in which I have severe doubts.

Looks like Isco is just playing on the wing so far

So it still looks like a 4-3-3

A way better performance from Madrid's 1st teamers than the rubbish I saw Sunday. Took at least 20-25 minutes till Madrid's juices started to flow. I expect City to really feel the pinch when the 2nd team arrives.

During the time Madrid was finding herself, City played some nice football. Not sure if the 3-5-2 suits Danilo but it would definitely suit Mendy and Walker.

Isco definitely had a free role. He was excellent

Benz and Bale have as much understanding as two people trying to discuss politics in two different languages. Pass

Bale making us a hoof ball team. Gtfo to Utd if you can only run onto long balls

As expected our midfield doing well and our frontline a cancer

Has been pretty exciting so far. Would be winning if Benzema extended his leg a milimeter on 1 of the 2 sitters he had.

Navas has been great, Casemiro pretty good, Isco pretty good, Benzema did well in one chance but has been an out of shape traffic cone the other 44 minutes

Yeah I am appreciating Isco's free role today but let's be real, only Chad thinks he is a shit player. Like literally, only him.

I actually understand the long ball game. City's high backline and Bale's supposed pace suppose to be a dream. Issue is Bale is not timing his runs well (I guess a serious lack of match practice is the cause. Or whatever).

Benzema gave up 2 metres before the ball arrived. Hate his effort every game... If he actually wanted to, he could've scored.

Bale is his usual self also.
