what would be the role of the 3rd striker other than be there if higgy and benz cant, and or offer something that can prove handy in some games? who could we possibly buy? adebayor wasnt too bad, yet again i dont know how much theyd want for him.

You're not going to pay and then have a player still play for the club you paid. Down payment.... Maybe. But then, there should be a discount and all sorts of clauses.

Risk of injury is there and there's nothing that stops Santos from playing him to death if he's leaving anyhow.

I'm not all that confident Madrid will go for this. We'll just wait until he can leave and then pay.

Yeah, his views on Neymar are a bit radical but to each his own. For the topic at hand, theoretically, Neymar is better off at Santos for the time being. Real Madrid currently has enough players to full certain attacking minded positions. However, someone pointed out that he has, in fact, accomplished quite a bit in Brasil and a move to newer pastures is pretty necessary in order to further develop his football.
