Conte: Pay me
Conte wants a bigger deal with Chelsea. He proved himself winning the league, beating mou, pep, Wenger, klopp and poche so he wants a big deal. He earned it but let's see if Chelsea pay him
Inter are offering him 15 mil per year or something.
I personally want to see the Série A strong again so I hope he goes

Re: Conte: Pay me
Di Marzio say they are after Pocchettino
Pretty much nobody has a clue what these Chinese want to do and the media are getting desperate throwing all kinds of names because they're tired of seeing Juve winning.
I personally think he'll stay and Inter will get Spalletti as their next coach especially now that Sabatini has joined them as well.

Inter has a list I think. Someone, Conte, Pochettino they want a top coach to launch their project this summer since someone committed to Atletico for 17/18 season

Re: Conte: Pay me
Conte has no issue making a power play as his last season with Juventus demonstrated.
However, I want to assume that his current deal at Chelsea is fairly lucrative as it is. Maybe there was a gentleman's agreement to discuss a higher wage if objectives like the league were met prior to the season.
I can't picture him at Inter. He would be just what they need though. I'm sure the ultras wouldn't like an ex juventino.

Well I certainly can. I remember him when he was Juve coach talking about how rivalry won't get in the way of choosing his job and he was hinting at Inter at that point.
For me Conte seems the type of guy who's more inclined towards the Italian league as a whole than a single club in this case Juventus. I mean choosing the NT job very early in his career was kinda reflective on his intentions as he took the job when Italy were in a shit state. Clearly seems the type of guy who wants Italian football to get back to the top. I really wouldn't be surprised to see him at Inter or even Milan in the future at all. I just don't see it happening now though as Inter are in too much of a mess for any top coach to even consider them in the first place.

Re: Conte: Pay me
I think he stays and will want to see how far into CL he can take this Chelsea side. How much is he even on at Chelsea? greedy pos, he's probably getting paid handsomely already. I'm sure Roman will hook him up though. He paid AVB like 50M ffs.

Re: Conte: Pay me
According to random sites online (like the Mirror) he makes less than Klopp, Wenger, Mourinho and Guardiola.
Any way this is probably the media making up stuff, has any of the supposedly involved parties commented on any of this? last I read (like this week) Conte said he was at Chelsea to stay for years.

Re: Conte: Pay me
Roman isn't really stingy anywya, but him paying insane amounts of money to Coaches he's sacked over the years who flopped probably made him cautious. I fully expect him to hook Conte up now he's proven himself this season at Chelsea.
Inter would be such a step back and honestly Conte should be in no rush, he will be back in Italy one day but he's about to win the biggest league in the world and will surely want a shot at the CL, this Chelsea team could go far.
Inter have been run like clowns for a while now, I honestly think any top coach will shown caution at going there.

I do recall him saying that but to actually see it would be a different thing. Like I would have to see him at Inter to believe it, not that it's impossible or even unlikely, he's just symbolic to Juventus and usually the two do not coexist.
I remember him linked with Milan also. To be honest, he would improve any team in Italy except for Juventus.

Re: Conte: Pay me
Agreed, will return soon enough, but probably not yet. He just began a Chelea.
----
@Warrior
He also said last summer that he would return to the NT in the future, so being back will always be in the cards. His family is still in Italy iirc.

He is at 6.5m at Chelsea
Chelsea will reward him with a raise no doubt, Conte will use this as a leverage though not for a pay increase but to get the players he want in the summer.

Why does it have to be one or the other? He gets paid so he can't get the players he wants or he doesn't get paid so he gets who he wants? Makes no sense he wants both

My opinion is that he will likely win the PL and FA cup imo that is enough incentive and leverage to get a huge raise. He has surpassed expectations and no doubt Chelsea will pay him among the best.
You could be right he could still want more and likely that plays a role, but far more likely Conte demands more control and get the backroom and players he desires.
At Juventus that was the major reason he left.

Re: Conte: Pay me
Nick I am surprised you would like to see Serie A strong again given your general ridicule and lack of interest behind it.
Would you explain the reasons why?

How long are we going to continue to treat all those endless absolutely ridiculous rumours coming out of Milano seriously?
Inter are 'after Pochettino'? Seriously?
These two clubs are basically completely in shambles. As if those shady new owners were planning to INVEST
As if those clubs would somehow start these huge transfer sprees, getting all those players, and then get the best coaches around on top.
I'm not going to look up the endless trail of cheap ass scrubs or failed loaned-and-we'll-pay-later player deals these clubs have burned through in the last years.
But I'll make a list of coaches.
Since 2011, Inter have gone through coaches Leonardo, Gasperini, Ranieri, Stramaccioni, Mazzarri, Mancini, De Boer and Pioli, and Vecchi; while Milan have gone from Allegri to Seedorf, Pippo, Mihailovic, Brocchi and Montella.
But sure, now Simeone and/or Pochettino will come to start a successful, star-studded era
STOP
It's embarrassing.

Re: Conte: Pay me
Don't know about the Milan Chinese, but Suning is planning to invest close to a billion euro within the next 3 years. Suning's problem is staying within FFP. The reason that they can splurge on a manager is that manager's salaries do not count against the club for FFP. Interestingly, Suning also owns PPTV the Chinese broadcaster that has the rights to the EPL and La Liga in China. Some predict that at the auction coming up in 2018, Suning (PPTV) will bid an extraordinary amount to get Serie A in its package. Serie A's TV revenue are expected to almost double in 2018, with China providing a large part of the growth.

Re: Conte: Pay me
This is one of those stories with too many variables to mean anything
Is this out of the blue?
Was this already agreed upon if he won the league?
Is he on less than his PL counterparts?
Is this even true?
How much wood would a wood chuck chuck is a wood chuck could chuck wood?
Without these answers, it means nothing.

Everything that you said is true except this. The company that owns Inter is also the company that owns the ppv rights for the Bundesliga in China, along with the epl and la liga. So you see, our problem is not money. They paid 30 mil for a 30 year old Candreva and 30 mil for Gabi Barbosa, who haven't even played a half time of a game yet. Add to that 45 mil on J mario and 30 mil on Gagliardini, and they have spent more than 135mil in their first season.
Do they want to get a top coach? Of course! But they won't get one. We have to rise our level first to get one imho. In the meantime I hope Spalleti can atleast help us get top 4.
PS. Nothing shady about the Suning Commerce Group. Don't confuse us with the red half who's owner had to barrow money from a hedge fund..

I don't see what's so weird about this? If I achieved far more than I aimed for I would ask for a massive raise too

Re: Conte: Pay me
What is this thread?
Conte has said he is building something at Chelsea. His wife and daughter are moving to London in the summer, And he is getting a new contract once the season ends (he asked for it to be postponed so everyone could focus on winning the league and FA cup).
He isn't going anywhere.

Re: Conte: Pay me
So Conte will leave the Premier League winners and a chance to win the CL next year, assuming he gets a huge budget to work with, to go coach Inter, a team not even in Europa League, who have had about 100 coaches in the last 5 years, all because of money??
Since when has Conte all of a sudden become a mercenary looking simply for the big payday? That is not what he is about. He is about winning first. And he can do that at Chelsea next year. He will win nothing at Inter.
I'm sure Abramovich can splurge and give Conte a new contract. Not sure why he would just let him go after such an amazing season.

Agreed.
Haps still acts as if Inter are under Erick Thohir, but Suning is really ambitious and rich group.
Of course being ambitious and rich isn't enough for being competent , but well , the 15 mln bid for Conte is real imo.
But it's just as real he will refuse it because it' d be a downgrade for his career ( even if wasn't totally negative on it,even because he misses his family who lives in Italy)
