That was the best opening segment ever.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 33 - WM 33 Edition
So it's not a draft then....
More akin to something like a transfer deadline day it would seem.
Which might be more entertaining anyway.
Mr. McMahon also announced he has already conferred with lead representatives from Raw and SmackDown LIVE in advance of the shake-up that will take place for both brands. That includes the newly named Raw General Manager, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, as well as SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan, who are already in ongoing discussions with each other regarding next week's anticipated Superstar movement, WWE.com has confirmed.
The WWE Chairman will be granting both sides an opportunity to make trades, deals and other moves that they feel fit, according to WWE.com sources. There are many potential maneuvers that the WWE Universe will surely be buzzing over.

Listening to Matt you can see he wants to badly lol.
Wonder if the stuff about TNA wanting to sue is correct then?
Maybe something has to be dealt with court wise first? Long term old Hardyz will get boring imo.
Although they will drastically help the Tag teams, it already feels more legit with them and the Revival there.

Let Jeff be normal. He was one of the most over guys ever in WWE. Also need to hear his GOAT theme again.

Meltzer: When people are booing Roman to that level, Vince is in the back thinking they (the fans) really care a lot, and that's gonna make Vince push him more, the silence will get him, booing him will only make him stronger.
How can you be deluded to that level

Imagine if AJ is out there saying how he deserves a title shot etc etc and Nakamura's music plays.
The pop would be unreal, he's definitely coming up as he said goodbye to NXT crowd after losing to Roode just a question of what the feud will be.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 33 - WM 33 Edition
According to Dave Meltzer, The Undertaker had requested that he face John Cena at this year’s big event. The bout between the two would have been one of WWE’s last remaining dream matches and fulfilled a wish for fans who never got to see the two iconic superstars lock horns at The Showcase of the Immortals.
Vince McMahon reportedly vetoed that request. The Chairman’s thought process was that WWE had to think long-term rather than short-term, and the best way to do that would be to have Taker pass the torch to the man we all know Vince will go to his grave trying to turn into the next face of the WWE.

Thinking long term is fine, maybe if you thought about that 10 years ago you wouldn't be in this position Vince

Cena should have retired Taker while turning heel. Would have been the greatest heel turn since Austin at WM17 ffs.

There is no long term when it comes to Reigns imo. Doesn't matter who he beats or how many world titles he holds, he's never gonna get over or be truly great with his current persona.

Jesus Christ, Undertaker dedicated 25 years of his life to Vince and Vince can't even honor his last request because he wants Reigns to go over.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 33 - WM 33 Edition
WWE teased Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman on last night’s RAW but there’s no sign of that match happening any time soon as Braun vs. Roman Reigns is expected for WWE Payback. It’s worth noting that Braun vs. Reigns is currently the scheduled dark main event and live event main event through Payback. No word yet on how they will get from Braun vs. Reigns to Braun vs. Lesnar but as Dave Meltzer recently reported in The Wrestling Observer, Reigns vs. Lesnar is expected to headline WrestleMania 34 next year.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 33 - WM 33 Edition
So let's play this out long term, because that will be fun
Reigns retires Undertaker. Feuds with Braun again next
Wins at least 2/3 times, with his loss being controversial.
Feuds with Bork, loses until it's Mania time and wins.
Then what? In about 12 months time max he's now easily the most credible wrestler on the roster in any capacity, and he'll maybe get another feud out of Cena. Which he'll obviously win.
He's going to be burrying 1/2 the roster ever year in between WM/SS where he'll get hard fought victories.
This is why you don't make people *bleep* OP nobody wants that shit any more. He better eat clean losses.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 33 - WM 33 Edition
That time he was pinned clean three times in a row by Rollins, Ambrose and Balor feels like so long ago
I am beyond pissed that he got to retire Undertaker. What history does he have with him?! They just started to feud for no reason at all. If its about Undertaker passing the torch then why couldn't it be Bray Wyatt, WWE's other dark supernatural character? But nah gotta give Reigns the main events while Bray becomes the Reverse Undertaker with a Wrestlemania losing streak.
The Rock retired Stone Cold.
Shawn Michaels retired Ric Flair. (then Sting in TNA, Ric's greatest rival)
Undertaker retired Shawn Michaels.
Who retires Taker, Reigns, someone he has zero history with. Cena would have made a lot of sense considering his debut and how he has been the face of the company for 10+ years.

Orton, Wyatt, Kane, HHH, Lesnar all would have fit, but nah it had to be Reigns. I won't be surprised to see him retire Lesnar, Goldberg and Cena too because of how obsessed Vince is with overpushing him

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 33 - WM 33 Edition
Speaking of Reigns' reaction, I think the more people boo him the more attention he gets overall. It makes him a controversial figure. When you're lacking stars already, the controversial figure is the one who's going to be talked about. And by now it's obvious booing him isn't going to work.
The objective should be to make him irrelevant. Take the spotlight away from him. Problem is if you stop booing him, you'll hear cheers from the fans that he does have. So instead they should just hijack his segments with random chants or non PG chants, which is sure to upset sponsors.
Ideally however we get another Bryan type situation where a superstar gets super over and automatically becomes the face, thus taking the spotlight away from Reigns.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 33 - WM 33 Edition
The attention he gets isn't down to him having a goat character or being charismatic, it's down to the fact that he isn't good enough and doesn't deserve to be in the spot he's in. It's go away heat.
If you take that attention away, he's essentially a nobody.

It got held up, then was apparently on again, then died for good straight after
Thank f who gives a shit about fat Shaq in 2017 ffs, and he'd have gone over show anyway. Because WWE love making non wrestlers looking 10x better than wrestlers, no idea why even some fans enjoy that.
