Liverpool Vs Arsenal
Liverpool Vs Arsenal
4th March 17:30 BST
Anfield
This is going to be another trashing. Unlike Leicester, we are not going to exploit anything tomorrow. What we are going to do is to *bleep* concede early and then just stand still till they beat the shit out of us. Despite two *bleep* weeks of break, we are going to look lethargic and spent. Coquelin is going to concede a foul at the edge 20 times in 90 minutes inviting coutinho to score each time. We'll probably concede a penalty which Cech might as well not be in nets for. A late Sanchez goal might be in the cards which he will celebrate by staring into the abyss. Oh and Lucas Perez may show up.
Can't wait till this season is over.

Liverpool against top 6 opposition this season - Played 8, won 4, drawn 4
Arsenal against top 6 opposition this season - Played 6, won 1, drawn 2, lost 3
Wonder how this will end

Re: Liverpool Vs Arsenal
We'll probably see:
Cech; Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal; Coquelin, Xhaka; Walcott, Iwobi, Chamberlain; Alexis
What I'd want to see:
Cech; Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal; Xhaka, Ramsey; Lucas, Iwobi, Welbeck; Alexis
What would be terrible to see:
Cech; Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal; Coquelin, Xhaka; Walcott, Ramsey, Alexis; Giroud

Re: Liverpool Vs Arsenal
We're going to be pressed and will need outlets. Giroud is not an outlet, nor is going to see much of the ball to be able to hold it up. Chances are he'll be far from Liverpool's penalty area as we're unlikely to control the ball.
We'll also need good ball players. Giroud produces a lot of turnovers. Him and Alexis together would be awful. They have no chemistry as it is.

Re: Liverpool Vs Arsenal
Don't tell me Wenger actually made the 'tactical' decision to bench Alexis, out of the blue, against Liverpool of all opponents.
Surely there must be some injury issue. SURELY.

Re: Liverpool Vs Arsenal
He said himself it was 'tactical'.
But we all know he doesn't do that, he always plays his best team. Always. So I'm assuming something happened behind the scenes and he wanted to make a point.

Re: Liverpool Vs Arsenal
So the tactics was to play bad football in first half and then introduce Sanchez in second to catch Liverpool off-guard. That's some prime sun Tzu level shit.

All 3 goals came from Monreal's side...again. That guy's been deadwood for a year now, just sell him already.

Re: Liverpool Vs Arsenal
Wenger left Alexis out to play out a 4-5-1 with a lump up front. What a plan
What a horrendous performance. Mane and Firmino were beating our defenders IN THE AIR. Their first goal comes straight from a goalkick that Koscielny comes out to head away but loses to Firmino. After that it's a mess.
Nobody tracked a run all game. Our extra secure midfield let runners go all the time. Coquelin Can't defend, can't pass under pressure. A total liability. Took him off at half time and we looked better. What a shocker.
Giroud was a liability too, as we all predicted. Just not suited to games we don't have the ball.
All the narrative will be about Alexis which I guess works out for Wenger. He won't have to answer questions about our shocking performance and tactics now.

Re: Liverpool Vs Arsenal
Terrible team selection and we all knew it right away. That first half was gutless and total, utter shit. But that referee could have been blind and had a better game. How could anyone on the face of the earth argue Can shouldn't have been sent off? And how many clear dives did they get freekicks for? We did not deserve a win but we would have got points if not for that asshat completely robbing us.
We are never the team that gets the bullshit calls in big games. I seeiously question the integrity of these referees who consistently help other top teams in every big game but not us, never us. Everything English has become a joke in this game, they can't even call a game ffs.
As for us, Coquelin's a fraud, Xhaka has overall been a shit signing though he has some potential, our defence which in theory is our best backline in years is somehow a total liability anymore, our front line is filled with pace that we are entirely unable to utilize while they all give inconsistent performances every week, and Wenger has lost the dressing room with his consistently overused and stale tactical ability. The players don't believe and they aren't fighting for anything. This team almost isn't worth supporting. They give us absolutely nothing to cheer about. I'll always come back to them, I still watch every game, but *bleep* right off Arsenal. Nobody wants to just watch their team beat the shit teams and lose every big game.
