What now for Kun? Empty What now for Kun?

Post by Mr Nick09 Sun Feb 05, 2017 3:40 pm

I saw the reports about Pep not happy with Kun as his CF, and City being open to listen to offers, and now we see Jesus taking over little by little.

we are watching the end of Kun at City

what's next for him?

would Arsenal be interested? would City sell to them?

Inter wouldn't pay those kinda wages right?

He isnt going anywhere.

We haven't tried Aguero and Jesus yet.

Maybe the next game.

China seems to be the viable option. PSG have Cavani who works harder and he is too old for them imo. Barcelona can barely afford to pay ball boys atm. He poacher at Madrid is useless when CR is there so no. Atletico can't afford him.

He really doesn't fit Pep's style. He is too selfish and makes runs only for himself and tries too many duels and has multiple turnovers.

I mentioned in that Swansea game, his sub cameo summed him up. He could have given 2 assists/pre assists. First one he could have laid it out to the wide player for a simple square ball into the box instead he shot with 4 players in front. 2nd chance, he could have headed to Gabriel Jesus for a simple square header but chose to head from the front. Great player but needs to be in a team that utilises his strengths.

And who do you bench to fit both of them in?

Sterling provides width so canning him would be bad.
Silva is your captain.
De Bruyne would freak out the way he did on Chelsea when they benched him.
Sane and stunt his growth?

This is not even up for a debate anymore lol. Cavani is stronger, quicker, a better goalscorer and is a chance-creating machine.

So many options.

You have heard of rotation right?

It's why teams like Arsenal and Liverpool are dead by February.

I don't even think it's due to not fitting in tbh.

He just flat out isn't performing regardless of fit, he's not as clinical as he was and his general play has steadily gotten worse through all the injuries.

Aguero of a couple of years ago wouldn't be getting dropped even if the fit wasn't great.

Rotation works perfectly when you have a bunch of older players who know their game enough to be able to turn it on and off.

I'll tell you now you start rotating Nacho,Jesus,Sane, and Sterling at this point and their growth will be stunted. Sterling in particular is at a point where he will have to play every week to ever reach the potential he was bought for.

He also has to take responsibility for his injuries. He has the same problem Messi had before Pep. His diet was awful and he needed to see the Dr that Messi saw when his injuries almost stopped completely. It's too late for Kun, the damage is done. He looks laboured and shattered when he presses and I think all the closing down means he's just not as sharp in front of goals. He gets far to jaded easily. When he comes back from holiday he has so much weight on. The cycle eventually catches up to you.

I think it is pronounced as chance-squandering machine.

He is not a targetman so what ever formation with him as a lone striker isnt going to work. He is best worked in a 4411 or 442. We can rule out most of the teams that plays with a lone striker imo.

It's not even about Cavani being better or not, it comes down to how much more reliable cavani is compared to Kun. Cavani is almost never injured, he works like a horse and he is a one touch finish wonder.

Dont ask him to dribble or to hold up the ball, play him like MIlan played Inzaghi and he will get you goals. So it's very hard to imagine PSG shelling out a big fee plus high wages for a 29 years old injury prone player. And you can't even argue that Kun has lit the CL on fire so he has that little edge... he has never done so

We should still keep him, hes still class and a consistent clinical goal scorer. Hes probably too one dimensional, being too individual and his link up and team play seemingly not as good as Jesus which maybe what gets to Pep. But a club like Man C need top players, even for rotation and backup.

Still not sure if he will get dropped consistently, things down turn THAT quickly surely.... still remember Man C sold both Dezko and Negredo so much faith they had in Kun... which wasnt the best move.
