Which option is closest to your political ideology?
Re: Your political ideology
I'm sure with 1 or 2 different questions i'd be slightly right

Re: Your political ideology
I know it's supposed to be just an approximation but I felt like that multiple choice answers (especially on the quiz with only three options) didn't really capture what I believed in. I'd like to think my opinions are slightly more nuanced that that.
Also, on the other quiz with the four options, I think there should have been a fifth one in the middle that was no opinion/don't know. Like that question about companies taking advantage of the native plants or whatever the hell that was, shit, I don't know. And how does believing in astrology have anything to do with political orientation? Maybe it was asked for an internal study to show what kind of people believed in that shit?

Re: Your political ideology
Democratic Capitalist welfare state which allows freedom of thoughts but not freedom to take up arms.
Basically Democracy of India, entire civilian freedom concept and economy of U.S and Welfare concept of Germany with Ban on arms.

I have similar opinions on the 3 option test
For the other this is actually something they address in their FAQ:
You should have a "don't know" option?
This makes it too easy for people to duck difficult issues. By forcing people to take a positive or negative stance, the propositions make people really evaluate their feelings. Often people find they wanted to select 'don't know' mainly because they'd never really thought about the idea.

Thanks, I didn't see that but I still disagree with them. Sometimes, yes, I haven't given the issue much thought, but most of the times I have thought about it and I'm still undecided.

The founder of this channel, Dennis Prager is a right-wing conservative, it makes no sense from him to claim he's leaving the left when he never was there and doesn't believe in what the left stands for, which is economic and social justice.
And no, you can't pass off classical liberalism as the left, classical liberalism is a very right-wing ideology (at least in the 21 century) which advocates for a unregulated free market and the elimination of government, AKA *bleep* the poor.

Classical liberalism doesn't advocate for the elimination of government at all, that's a gross exaggeration

Re: Your political ideology
Perhaps I am not unbiased about it for my left side inclination (regardless of poll), but it's really difficult to go on right side with this poll imo
There are questions that .. I mean, who really rate the sex before of getting married as an immoral thing in 2017 ? (typical thought of a fundamentalism christian  An extremist version than Bergoglio, because not even Bergoglio think it anymore ) . There are other questions that sounded as similar to it for me but I don't remind it.
While I've not idea  the sense about astrology, it is a left side' s thing or right side ? Domenech was a coward such as Petain , so I believe the 2nd thing.

Insanely reduces taxes, privatize healthcare and schools, cut all welfare, social security and other safety nets, no infrastructure spending, maintain an army to defend the country.
Although i'm a biased leftist but this seems pretty close to no government too me.

The person talking is Dave Rubin, not Dennis Prager...

Re healthcare, education & infrastructure:
Government, as explained by Adam Smith, had only three functions: protection against foreign invaders, protection of citizens from wrongs committed against them by other citizens, and building and maintaining public institutions and public works that the private sector could not profitably provide.

Welfare state I agree, they would see that as unfair, but they would advocate for equality of opportunity.

i've gone more left, which is not a surprise to me at all after world events since 2020 and covid.
ultimately though, these questions exist in a certain framework and i feel like they can't truly capture my true beliefs
essentially:
- i don't vote
- life is too complicated, i'm an absurdist and an intellectual anarchist
- i believe everyone are equal in front of the law, but at the end of the day i'll do what's best for me, and then for those nearest and dearest to me

Re: Your political ideology
Both tests seem to contradict each other
Basically i believe people should take responsibility for their own lives and governement should bother them as least as possible especially regarding taxes. Manage the infrastructures in a logical and fair manner, PLEASE. Of course i believe in some sort of social security but in Canada is too loose for my liking, it's a perfect recipe for corruption and just wasting citizens money on bureaucracy.
I don't have sympathy for extremists whether they are from the right or the left. Bunch of angry people who cannot be trusted or taken seriously. Posers whose mind cannot process incoherence and ambivalence of the reality, subconsiously it gives them biased views on everything.
I find progressive ideas to fit my definition of perfect world but i am too cynical about the human kind to expect to see them applied. Those willing to die on the hill of social justice are dreamers and/or anarchists.

Re: Your political ideology
What does that even mean?
I've always refused to even find out what left/right means politically because I find the culture of political labeling particularly disgusting in it's nature and especially the malicious use of it in US politics and media. The entire concept of it is so repuslive when you understand it that I decided not to endulge in it, ever.

Re: Your political ideology
Left: socialist economy, progressive society
Right: capitalist economy, conservative society
That's what it means for the average joe. It's only a concept to simplify one's general stance regarding politics. However it's true you can make doubtful shortcuts based on it.
