Re: James Rodriguez transfer speculation
No he isn't lol. Bayern is not gonna sell him for the same amount he was purchased and it certainly won't be a lower value. Jjuve would need to pony up the cash.

Bayern isn't going to sign him to sell him. If he moves it's because they won't take their 40m option.

Your club is still not gonna pay 40 mil for James regardless of which club has him. Also, didn't know you actually like James for Jjuve.

Re: James Rodriguez transfer speculation
Real Madrid paid to much money for James to have Bayern not pick up the option and sell him for cheap... My guess is that he comes back to Madrid, gets tried out for a season and then we see what happens.
Isco is on his way out. James is a perfect replacement.

My sig for maybe 2 years was "Free James" since he signed for Madrid. Lovely player to watch. You can also have Costa for him if it preferable to money

Re: James Rodriguez transfer speculation
James has been in limbo for 3 seasons straight now, he has not been a clear a clear 1st option for his team and that's what he is looking for. Imo he should settle for a club like Inter or Milan where he will start every game

Re: James Rodriguez transfer speculation
Yes he would be huge for them and them for him since he would be the center. Problem is they probably cant pay him, even if they could fork out 50m for a transfer fee.
Higher chance of Napoli paying for him like when they brought Higuain. With Ancelotti too.
We could use him. Right now 3 of our midfielders are completely incapable of linking mid with attack (Can, Khedira, Matuidi) so we have Dybala doing everyone's job all at once. Bentancur makes it a bit better but he is still learning. So James could do very well if he is able to play as the most forward of the mid 3. This is why we want Ramsey, but James>>>>

Lol he is 27 and still gets rated for one good game in 10. Incredible.
he is like a shit version of Riquelme. Worse work rate and half the talent.

Re: James Rodriguez transfer speculation
James won't start for a single big team. He can't beat his man, he is slow, he is too one footed, and when he gets too comfortable he gets lazy. I hope he doesn't come back to Madrid. Juve can have him

it might work at juve since no one really attacks them other than few teams. But would be a disaster in the CL though.

He should come to Lyon. His ideal level and the perfect Fekir replacement. Madrid should send him our way + 20/30 million

Top clubs in Europe have successfully phased out the lazy bum n10 who just wants to stay high up the pitch.

Re: James Rodriguez transfer speculation
How is James still being spoken about?
Performing in one World Cup is never an indicator of how well a player will have the propensity to perform on top-flight club level given despite all the marketing hype, International level is comfortably a league (or two) below the level of club futbol and even then it was just a handful of spectacular goals, not much beyond.
He wasn't anything special in Porto, was even worse in Monaco, and has done close to nothing in Real Madrid.
A identity-less footballer with impressive skill yet at age 27 has failed to learn in how to utilise that without demanding an all too specified role that suits his limited skillset.
The whole Columbian generation hype that happened earlier this decade was really a machine that even I fell for and it fizzled out as soon as it began.
Delete thread.

In the first half of the 2014 season, James was unplayable and the football he played for Madrid was magnificent. So I wouldn't say he did close to nothing for Madrid.
James is a special player. In that I mean, he can't grow wings on his own. In order to thrive, he needs a very particular system and players to do the dirty work for him. Give him that and he'll tear new holes in the opposition. Don't and he'll end up being lazy with little to no productivity.

Re: James Rodriguez transfer speculation
Just want to point out that in his last 1 and a half years at Bayern, he's not been the 'lazy bum no10' you guys seem to take him for, but much rather the midfielder as that @rincon sees him, and with a very decent work rate at that.
Hala's point that he's too slow stands though.

Re: James Rodriguez transfer speculation
There is no doubt under Ancelotti James was far better than what he is now but half a season is a paltry measurement of any mark left upon a club let alone the scale of Real Madrid.
That statement isnt as important as the fact that he only really performs when a system is very meticulously tailored to his attributes and whilst that is valid for players that have had that in the form of
Cristiano Ronaldo
Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Neymar
Benzema (when he isn't being lazy)
Eden Hazard
and many more;
James is nowhere near good enough or productive enough for that.
He isn't good enough for the club.

Zaniolo, baby
James is too slow and too small for Allegri to play him there, which is why he is not playing Pjanic either.

What is Zaniolo's natural position? Behind the striker or further deep in midfield like a number 8/box to box?

Re: James Rodriguez transfer speculation
He has only had some 20 games so who really knows what his best is. He plays centre or right in the Roma's 4-2-3-1 right now. He is an actual midfielder though, not a forward, tall as well, so it seems like he should have no problems in a midfield 3.
