There's also a lot of amazing reviews out there. Seems like a you either live it or hate it type of show.

Never trust tv reviewers too much myself since they're basically just the people who weren't good enough to write about movies

And that's not mentioning how they review a show without watching an entire season.

I know the concept of Survivor, because they used to have a South African version.

It was intriguing yea, from what I remember. But still would rather pass my time with legit scripted fiction.

Finished Man in the High Castle and Goliath. Amazing shows for very different reasons.

It was intriguing yea, from what I remember. But still would rather pass my time with legit scripted fiction.

It's a very strategic competitive game show. Which is why I love it. Unlike other reality shows there's no garbage drama. That's not why millions of people have been watching this show for 34 seasons. It's the survival aspect where they are stripped to bear minimum on an island and in a state of heightened emotions and they still have to compete in competitions and still having to vote each other out with the goal of being in the final 3. While the people you vote out become the jury who will be voting for the winner at the end. There have been many instances where the person who plays the most cut throat strategic game and lies and cheats and steals and makes to the end, the bitter people he/she backstabbed don't give them the money even if they deserved over the other finalists.

The goal of the game is not to just make to the end but make it to the end with the objective of having a jury (people you voted out of the island) who will be more favorable to giving you the win over the other finalists.

It's so hard because everyone is a different kind of juror. Some really get bitter. Some really want to see the most strategic person win. Some want the person winning challenges win. Some want their friends to win etc.

Sully, watch one season PLEASE. You'll get hooked right away.
