the funny thing is all American presidents would get charged with some crime or other if only the FBI looked into them all instead of picking on only one. looks to me like the losers cant take it and are doing all they can to get trump out.

you could be right. trump could turn out to be the biggest idiot in history. but what will happen to Americas freedom and democracy if the government tell the people to vote for a president and then say you can have the one you vote for as long as we agree with him. if not we will just find a way to get rid of your man and get our own one in anyway. is it not worth just letting trump serve 1 term to save everything America says it stands for.

that's my point. if the FBI investigated every president they would find something on all of them so why only investigate trump. you cant be in a position where you can be president without doing something dodgy or illegal. but like I said if your the guy they want there will be no investigation and things will get hushed up. if you are not the right guy things will get leaked and you will get investigated. how America thinks nobody can see what goes on is the biggest joke of all. now you either have a democracy or you don't. but you cant pick and choose when to have one. it was better when they just assassinated the people they don't want to see have any power at least they could blame it on some patsy who would end up dead anyway.

I agree they all should have been investigated. But it's plain to see the American government don't care what the president does as long as he is the man they want. But people like yourself also didn't care what other presidents did you only care what trump does because you didn't want him to win.

I'm not the left, and in all my posts on this page it says not just Trump but everyone.

Its an investigation. If an investigation is worth doing then why the hell not do it?

The FBI determined that there was enough for them to launch an official investigation. Saying that they shouldn't, or whatever, is ridiculous. If the body that is responsible for these things finds it appropriate to investigate the president himself, then let them do it.

If he is innocent then great, that would probably save everyone a lot of hassle. If he is guilty then he must follow the due process with it.

Be it Trump, Obama, Merkel, Erdogan or whoever else.

Getting elected for public office should never be used as an excuse for breaking the law like this. Its what you hear a lot in countries run by tyrants and autocrats by supporters of these regimes. The president gets accused of breaking X law, then his people rally saying that he won the election and bla bla bla.

It also goes without saying that of course this principle is not true in reality.
People in power break laws all the time without being punished, on top of their ability to shape laws to their advantage.

But that only as an aside.

Of course it's good that Trump is investigated.

But I just don't like the readiness (and I'm not talking about you personally) with whom people suddenly throw a word like treason around.
Especially people on the left (and I am part of the left, so I'm talking about my 'side') who should be very wary and suspicious of this line of argument,

I'd call his cuts from Arts, health care, education etc. treason. It's condemning the less fortunate and a much bigger problem than the other problems.

He has gone against everything he's said during his campaign, like most of us knew he would. But it isn't fair for his entire base of voters who'll suffer more than anyone with these new budgetary cuts.
