Best Men's Coach 2016
Should be Ranieri who wins it. Santos a distant second.

Re: Best Men's Coach 2016
Ronaldo for me
But since there is an agenda against him, Ranieri would be my choice.
No idea why Pochettino is on that list for finishing 3rd in a 2 horse race. Guardiola in there for failing Bayern Munich Klopp there for finishing 8th with Liverpool. Deshamps in the list for losing the final in his own country. Unbelievable list

Re: Best Men's Coach 2016
Klopp (like Messi is the best footballer) is the best coach in the world. even if his team didn't win a trophy he gets into nominations by virtue of being the best.
Now they can brand him as hors concours and let the mortals have a go at these awards since he's unequal in his greatness.

Klopp is there for leading Liverpool to 2 finals in the spring and then having them top of the league for the fall season.

Re: Best Men's Coach 2016
Pretty sure Klopp is just there to make up numbers since the winner would probably and should be Ranieri. Fernando Santos a distant second.
Also, for those who are wondering what was this other final Liverpool made under Klopp, it was the Carling Cup final. A competition which really should have no business being mentioned in any real discussion about achievements for a club like Liverpool.

Re: Best Men's Coach 2016
Pochettino's development of this Spurs squad has been incredible. Just because the team flopped after losing a couple players near the end of the season after their title hopes were dash and they finished third as opposed to second doesn't mean anything. Lead Spurs to their highest finish in how long? Was the most entertaining team in the EPL with the best defense. This Spurs team is unrecognizable from a couple years ago.
He deserves to be there. He shouldn't win anything but he was one of the best managers, for sure.

Re: Best Men's Coach 2016
Our records are up their with everyone not to mention the fact we've scored the most in the PL in 2016, Also two finals regardless of your opinion on them which is irrelevant. We lost like 4 games out of the 18 in second half of the 15-16 season if i remember correctly.
Again the thread says 2016 ONLY.
Klopp is no where close to the other in terms of achievement, But to disregard what he's done without even seeing the bracket of performances being considered here is kneejerking.
I'd say a few teams are missing on the list, But it doesnt matter because Ranieri and Santos are walking away with this.

There are only two managers who should be considered for the award: Santos and Ranieri.

Simeone is the best, people seem to forget that Atletico is still nowhere close to be the finantial powerhouse that Real and Barcelona are.
Ranieri was a fluke, that's it.

You can't fluke 38 games in a season. He clearly was the best coach over the last year.

Re: Best Men's Coach 2016
Is there any doubt Zidane deserves this?
-he took over january and till now his results have been great, leading laliga now
-he unified REal Madrid to win a Champions League in 5 months
-he is unbeaten in europe and liga this season
-matched the longest winning streak in spanish la liga
-has the hghest winning % of any coach ever
-embodiment of señorio
-and most importantly he changed madrid style and now has us playing positional football
no debate Hans? yes debate

I was thinking the same, but all the shitting on Zidane in GL made me doubt my judgementMr Nick09 wrote:Is there any doubt Zidane deserves this?

As if he was the solely responsible for it. Ranieri is a veteran coach, approaching the end of his career and this was his first major title. Kanté was more important than him IMHO.

Re: Best Men's Coach 2016
I would agree with you if Ranieri had taken over say Arsenal or Liverpool or returned to Chelsea......but he went to Leicester. And won them a title on a shoestring budget with a bunch of nobodies prior to his arrival.
He's the best coach this year and it really isn't even close.

Agree with RG. Disgusting agenda against the Kommander but it was to be expected.
Pathetic attempt. Obviously there's no debate.

Context: LEI were battling for relegation with an almost similar squad pre-Raineri.McLewis wrote:I would agree with you if Ranieri had taken over say Arsenal or Liverpool or returned to Chelsea......but he went to Leicester.
