Re: The Movie House - Part 8
aight then watch the raid 1 and 2 if you want something less 'slow'
can't wait to see your reactions to the fight scenes
can't see them being topped for a long long time..or at least until the raid 3 lol

I thought Cloud Atlas was great. I need to watch it again soon.
I agree with everyone else on No Country for Old Men. One of the all time great villains.

Re: The Movie House - Part 8
Decided on Doctor Strange in the end mainly because I thought The Accountant hd/bluray would be sooner online than Doctor Strange, and also it meant I could wake up an hour later
It was okay tbh. Just another superhero origin story. Nothing brilliant, the visuals weren't all that thrilling as well once you know it's mostly (if not completely?) CGI. Tilda Swinton was great as always, and of course it's always a good time seeing Rachel McAdams, especially in 3D.

Re: The Movie House - Part 8
ES' movie route looks similar to mine, tohugh I probably won't see Silence in theaters.
i'm a sucker for period movies and the setting for Fantastic Beasts and AC are too tempting to pass up.

Really really liked Fantastic Beasts.
Finally loved Redmayne in something, first time he felt like a real character and not someone acting (from what I've seen).
Can't wait to see more of these characters.

Re: The Movie House - Part 8
Going to take out Arrival and then either Hacksaw Ridge, Fantastic Beasts or Dr. Strange over Thanksgiving break.
After that, next opportunity I'll have to watch anything will be Rogue One, which I'll go to as soon as the semester ends. One of my profs cancelled class that day because of Rogue One

Re: The Movie House - Part 8
Back from Fantastic Beasts.
7.9/10.
Around the same level as the rest of the HP universe movies imo. Wasn't blown away or anything.
I didn't hear half of what Redmayne was saying. Will need subtitles in a future rewatch. I don't know if the sound was shit in the theater I was in or Redmayne was borderline timidly mumbling.
Wouldn't really recommend to non HP fans.

Re: The Movie House - Part 8
Dr Strange.
Was about what everyone said it would be. Visually fantastic with standard Marvel plot fare. It was surprisingly funny at many points though. Lots of good humor. Really liked Mads Mikkelsen in this. Great to have a baddie who does have something of a sense of humor when battling the hero.
Post-credit scene was good as well.

7.9 is a good sign IMO, never expected the first film to be amazing, expect it will get better as the series goes on like HP did.

Re: The Movie House - Part 8
My main gripe was the effects of the monsters.
Colin Farrell was so amazing though. He's beginning to become one of my absolute favorites.
He's probably the most underrated actor out there.
Curious to see how much they're going to focus on Depp's Grindelwald though. Don't remember how much he's described in the books. Can't wait to see who'll play Dumbledore
