Yea didn't think I'd be more hyped for something after GoTG2 teaser but Logan looks incredible.
I don't know what we'll do without Hugh Jackman as Wolverine

Apparently the movie takes place one year after Logan wakes up in DOFP.

That makes no sense though because they changed the timeline so the mutants shouldn't be 'gone' as Logan says in the trailer.
We'll find out i suppose.

Maybe some Villain made Charles kill them all. It looks like it's 20 years after that ending, atleast.

Probably made Wolverine kill them all. Thats what happened in Old Man Logan and Charles says "Logan, what have you done?"

Could be. No idea how though. What happens in the comic?
He's also lost his healing power somehow.

X-Mansion is attacked by supervillains. Wolverine kills them all. Turns out it was an illusion by Mysterio and Wolverine killed all of the X-Men.

Re: The Official Comicbook Movies Thread: Part 3
I am not sure if i should put it in spoilers regarding old man logan since I don't actually think they will follow it considering Hulk and hawkeye play important roles but
From there, they will most likely borrow the Mysterio part. Maybe have Mr sinister trick logan instead. Retirement and the vow to never claw up again seems true in the film.
I am assuming x-23 gets kidnapped so he goes on a revenge run.
- Spoiler:
In old man logan, the world is overtaken by super villains where red skull is the president. Logan lives in retirement with the banner clan (bruce and his grand kids). Logan previously killed every single x-men because he was tricked by mysterio in thinking they were the enemy. Now he is retired and vowed to never claw up
So he lived with his own family. Who gets murdered by Hulk's grandkids. Logan in return kills them all. Then old man bruce reveals that his grandkids only did that because he wanted to wake up logan so they can have one last fight.
They fight and bruce eats him but Logan claws his way out of his stomach. Decides to defeat every single villain out there and make the world a peaceful place
From there, they will most likely borrow the Mysterio part. Maybe have Mr sinister trick logan instead. Retirement and the vow to never claw up again seems true in the film.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Man_Logan
The full story is here. Movie will obviously be just loosely based on it since they can't use Hawkeye, Iron Man, Captain America, Red Skull etc.
Times like these are when I get upset at the Marvel split. Would pay money to see Wolverine decapitate Red Skull with Captain America's shield and a hillbilly Hulk family.

Same guy as The Wolverine is directing this one. I wish bryan singer directed this.
The Wolverine was not bad till the final act which was awful. Hope he learnt his lessons.

Re: The Official Comicbook Movies Thread: Part 3
Here's the official synopsis.
Set in the future, Logan and Professor Charles Xavier must cope with the loss of the X-Men when a corporation lead by Nathaniel Essex is bent on destroying the world. With Logan's healing abilities slowly fading away and Xavier's Alzheimer's forcing him to forget, Logan must defeat Nathaniel Essex with the help of a young girl named Laura Kinney, a female clone of Wolverine.

Imo James Mangold is a better director than Singer. Really don't want Singer to direct again. Matthew Vaughn still the best director these movies have had.

Re: The Official Comicbook Movies Thread: Part 3
List of 10 actresses who have been linked to playing Domino in Deadpool 2
Lizzy Caplan (Now You See Me 2)
Mary Elizabeth Winstead (10 Cloverfield Lane)
Sienna Miller (American Sniper)
Sofia Boutella (Star Trek Beyond)
Stephanie Sigman (Spectre)
Sylvia Hoeks (Blade Runner 2049)
Mackenzie Davis (Halt and Catch Fire)
Ruby Rose (John Wick: Chapter 2)
Kelly Rohrbach (Baywatch)
Eve Hewson (The Knick)
I've really liked Mackenzie Davis on Halt and Catch Fire, her character on that show has that sharp-witted, devil-may-care attitude that goes with Domino. The comments I've been reading elsewhere also bear out a lot of support for Ruby Rose, who naturally already looks the part in most of what she plays in.

Re: The Official Comicbook Movies Thread: Part 3
Mary Elizabeth Winstead should and will get it imo.
Ruby Rose gets so much support for anything else than her acting though. Haven't seen her in anything, so I'm skeptic about giving her this part.
1. MEW
2. Lizzy Caplan
3. Sienna Miller
Those would be my top 3 choices in that order.

Mary Eiizabeth Winstead is very talented. She will become a star, it's only a matter of time.
I also like Mackenzie Davis.

Re: The Official Comicbook Movies Thread: Part 3
Director Tim Miller has reportedly left Deadpool 2 over creative differences with star Ryan Reynolds.
While its unknown what those differences were specifically, Miller's exit was reportedly "amicable," according to Variety. Both Miller and Reynolds were confirmed to be returning for the sequel when it was announced back in April.

Re: The Official Comicbook Movies Thread: Part 3
This pretty much sums up general consensus on Doctor Strange (reviews are out).
Familiar plot with it being an origin movie but a tremendous visual spectacle. And Cumberbatch is awesome.
If "Doctor Strange" can be dispiritingly safe, it can also be just as impressively bold - an hallucinogenic trip along a very familiar path, watching the film is like adding a large dose of LSD to your morning commute.
