Asensio isn't a cantera though? Isn't it a term for home grown players? Agree with the sentiment. I love young players, which is why I always enjoy rookies in the NBA. Love cheering for people to "make it"

HT and I do see the positives and the one negative (that bothers me the most) of Morata. Positives: he can play ball. Skillful and pace to beat defenders, could definitely keep Benzema on his toes in terms of competition. Negative: his finishing is lacking.

As for the match itself, we're beating La Real 2-0 in their house with a half strength team. Needless to say I am a very pleased fan.

Yeah true. We bought Asensio for Castilla... but we got relegated from Adelante so we loaned him out to Mallorca as he was too good for Segunda.

What would we do without Casemiro seriously this dude is EVERYWHERE mopping up after everybody. Kroos and Morata have been awesome, Morata just needs that goal to cap off an excellent game, bit selfish at times, hope he doesnt become Bale of 2 seasons ago. Cant have that. Varane seems to have picked up too, hope he manages to stay injury free this season

Some of the passing needs to improve though, LaReal had 3 chances and all of them were created through careless passes by our players particularly Ramos and Marcelo

Anyway other than couple mistakes at the back, comfortable game should have been more, but that ok since the team is playing pretty good.

Yeah, I fully agree with the sentiment. He was probably too good for Castilla also, doesn't change the fact that I want him to do good. Great finish also. He looks relaxed.

I feel Morata really needs a goal. He looks good but when he's close to goal he doesn't look relaxed and tries to force things. Just need that one goal.

Same as with Juve...  makes those speed moves and gets into some scoring/final pass positions.  But his final ball is really poor. Lacks the efficiency and final technique you need from a CF at this point.

Ramos is horribly bad. It's not even funny anymore. I have no idea why people think he's any good defensively.
