Haha, he's got a ways to go and a lot more pizza's before he ever looks like this...
Tbf Ronaldo had a birth defect. He has/had a thyroid problem if I'm correct. Reason for his excess gain in weight.
Yeah, it's a shame. I think it's the corticosteroids that he had to take that made him like this.
As for higgy, he has to get in shape or else his career won't last very long.

One of the absolute best seasons a Serie A forward has ever put together.

Re: El Pipita | Gonzalo Higuaín
i don't think that's a birth defect, he just ate too much and trained less. that was how r9 was, he wasn't an athlete; he was gifted, fast and all, but c'mon, that's just from less training and eating/partying. which was what he spent more time doing whilst at corinthians and towards the end of his career. higuain was fat in madrid too, except his first two/three seasons. at the start of mourinho's last season he complained about players returning packing the pounds. that was directed at marcelo and higuain, who were the obvious fattys at the time.

Naa man, R9 had this thyroid problem and the medication he took is what led him to what he looked like. The medication he took increases appetite and so this happened.

Re: El Pipita | Gonzalo Higuaín
he had his chubby moments even in his younger years, difference was that he wasn't nearing retirement and the number of games being played would help lose the pounds. look at him in 03, he was damn fat, if not for constant football playing he might have been even bigger. that pic was either when he retired or in his years at corinthians, where he wasn't playing football week in week out. some athletes think like that, using the games played to get a good run or workout, which isn't advisable. he was able to shed the weight and trained at his hardest prior to the 02 world cup. if he maintained that regiment, he wouldn't have gotten blotted....anyways i hear he's losing the pounds now

Re: El Pipita | Gonzalo Higuaín
Interview: Tardelli high on Juventus attacking duo...
Marco Tardelli opened up about his thoughts on Juventus’s summer moves, and which former strike partnership Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala remind him of in an interview with Luca Calamai...
Marco Tardelli is really looking forward to seeing new signing Gonzalo Higuain pair up with fellow Argentine Paulo Dybala this season.
Tardelli made it clear he’s very impressed with what the Bianconeri have done in the transfer market, and he expects coach Massimiliano Allegri to bring more success thanks to his new vaunted attack.
What will Pipita bring to Juve?
“Goals, so many goals. But, be advised, he’s no [Mario] Mandzukic…”
What do you mean?
“Mandzukic was one of the key pieces, he’s the first to press and attack everything, allowing the rest of the squad to take control of the pitch. Higuain is a different centre-forward. He’s an attacking conduit. We’re talking about a champion, one that can give Juventus a chance in the Champions League.”
Higuain will pair with Dybala.
“A perfect tandem. They compare very well with Trezeguet-Del Piero. They are four great attackers, one different from the other. Higuain and Dybala are perfect on paper because Higuain, in addition to lashing the ball into the net, he’s also good at providing assists with his South American feet."

Didn't saw the match but form pics I can say he looked fat.
But I'm not worried, our staff did a great job with Tevez and Dybala.Tevez was fat and Dybala was way too skiny to fight for his life.

You have a point, but I'm still worried about him tbh.

Re: El Pipita | Gonzalo Higuaín
This is bloody pre-season. And there is still bloody 2 weeks before the season starts. It's not like he's munching pizzas and burgers while appearing for training.
Criticizing his performance today or commenting on his weight is silly.

His belly is the center of attention for all commentators, especially as it comes with the hefty price we paid for him, so they do pile a lot of pressure on him and the fans.

Re: El Pipita | Gonzalo Higuaín
Even if Higuain needs an extra couple weeks to be 100% match fit, that's completely fine. We have Mandzukic who looks very ready to play.
I'm not worried about Higuain and I'm not sure why anyone should be. As already pointed out, he was not a slender figure for Napoli, it's simply his body type. 10 pounds and he'll be the beast he can be.

Higuain will be fine, no need to worry. I don't expect him to start the first gcouple of games either. Mandzukic is there, fit, ready and with great chemistry. Allegri has integrated almost every player gradually. We don't really need Higuain in August, let him understand the team first and unleash him when he is ready.

HANDS OFF HIGUAIN

Gonzalo Higuain has the belly? This is the concern of some media after the first provision of Pipita with Juventus. Frankly, we would have worried if Higuain had already made three goals the first appearance and was already in great shape after a few days of training. The Argentine has just arrived and it takes time to bring it into shape.
It will take patience and above all not to expect that it can score 3 goals per game, or maybe you can score again thirty-six networks as in Naples. The Azzurri were playing all for him, in Turin will find a team and he will have to sacrifice himself for his teammates without thinking only self-interest. Do not bother anyone, therefore, a non-lucid Higuain, Juventus clearly wants the very major investment becomes fruitful, but there's no rush. Unlike other teams in Turin there are those who can replace the Pipita Higuain and then can take all the time he wants to get in shape.

Re: El Pipita | Gonzalo Higuaín
^agree with all that
He will take time, which is fine. We relied on Mandzukic last season, we can rely on him again.
I also don't expect him to score as much as last season. Our CF does something different than Sarri's. They play for the CF 100%. Gabbiadini always scores when he plays too, every player in Napoli services the CF. We'll have Higuain playing for the rest. If he can be anything like Tevez (in his own style) he'll be great.

Re: El Pipita | Gonzalo Higuaín
He's not gonna score 36 goals again at Juve. Even ADP in his prime only got 21 and Trezeguet's best season was 24. At Napoli he was fed every ball. They played through him almost every play. With Juve this year he will have Dybala by his side, so Higuain will be a second option on occasion, he won't be the focal point of the attack all the time.
If he gets 25 goals this year that should be a great season. And if Dybala matches him that's 50 goals. That should be plenty to clean out Serie A. Where we need more goals from him is in CL. That will be the true test. If he can play in CL like he does in Serie A then that will be our defining moment for CL glory.

Journal: "Higuain bomber with ballast: nutritionists and Allegri will put it into line"
