Re: QF: Germany vs Italy (July 2nd)
Roberto Martinez is a real jerk, he just went on and on dissing Italy. Ballack was also pro-Germany, but less obnoxious than that jerk Martinez.

Re: QF: Germany vs Italy (July 2nd)
I think the weird penalty shootout we witness was partly due to the reputation of two goal keepers. I mean as German if u have to score a winning penalty for ur country, Gigi Buffon is last man you want to face. Same against Neuer.

Re: QF: Germany vs Italy (July 2nd)
even some of the penalties that went in had something fluke-ish about them. there's the one that was definitely going to the northpole but struck the bar and went in. the two that went under buffon's arms as well

Strange way to characterize a penalty shoot out.

Re: QF: Germany vs Italy (July 2nd)
Can't believe we actually progressed against ITALY
A historic moment.
Much deserved too, Italy was the weaker team and would've just simply lost without much ado if not for Boateng's brainfart. What the hell
Never seen Müller before in such a bad form as at this Euros. Absolutely terrible lol. It's like he's lost everything at once.
Also, Zaza's penalty surely was the silliest penalty in the history of football
Add to that that Conte subbed him on 30 seconds before extra for this ffs

I thought they’d won the Euros the way they celebrated at the end. It was unbelievable. This in my opinion shows a small mentality and they are not going to do anything in the competition.

Re: QF: Germany vs Italy (July 2nd)
penalties strike up big emotions whether its in the second round or a final. especially when they had a chance to end things and schweinsteiger absolutely blew it. the way the better players on the german side missed their spot kicks, a lot of them were happy they got through and it was over.....
this situation has little or nothing to do with the mentality of the team. you can make that statement if its a draw in a group game and the big team over-celebrates. but penalties always strike up raw emotions, and the italians would have celebrated the same way if they won....its also a bit of vindication for the players that missed on the winning team

Re: QF: Germany vs Italy (July 2nd)
I was worried about the fact Parolo and Giacherini will face Neuer but it was the strikers who let down Italy. So it's safe to say Chiellini would have smashed that penalty instead of shittypants Zaza whom I want sold to China for the rest of his life for what he did to Gigi emotions...not to mention Lord Darmian and O'Rei Pelleshit.
However is stand to what CR7 said about germans tonight, they showed weak mentality celebrating like that. They won't make it to the finals.

Bruh, I'm hurt by the lost and disgraced by some of the penalties but rest assured if Italy would have won you would have seen a legendary celebration. Conte almost climbed into the stands when Pelle scored against Spain.
It would be perfectly reasonable for Italy to celebrate like mad men against Germany if they would've won and it's perfectly fine for Germany to do the same, having won.
The amount of history alone is enough of a reason for celebration, add that in with a 120 minutes of intense competitive soccer and then a deep penalty shootout to cap things off. All these ingredients make an enthusiastic victory the result.

The butthurt is strong in this one .
Also Italy celebrated every single goal they scored in this tournament as if they have won the whole thing whole bench and staff running into the pitch , coach jumping on top of dugout ...

Actually it shows the respect we have for Italy. You should be proud of that.
