DFB-Pokafinale 2016: FC Bayern - Borussia Dortmund
Driving home from Ikea, I just a couple of hours ago overtook the FC Bayern team bus on Spandauer Damm, while it was turning into the road towards Olympiastadion.
And since I was at Ikea earlier, my nerves are already completely wrecked and a cup final can't rattle me one way or the other.
Kick off 20h CEST.
Pep's last game as Bayern München coach.
Mats Hummels' last game as BVB captain.

Even though it was an offside shot and thus didn't matter, the save by Manu Neuer was fantastic!

2nd half is end to end. Bayern have missed a lot of good chances, though. I can see it coming back to haunt them.

Why would you get your defenders to take the penalties first. Poor from Dortmund

There are lots of defenders who are great at penalties.
Some incredibly poor penalties though.

Usually you want an attacker taking the first to get things going. All the Dortmund attacker smashed their penalties in a top corner. The penalties those defenders took though.....meh. Lost them the cup, that decision did

First of all, what was 8 months ago? Why '8 months'?
Second, I have to wonder about you not knowing. I've been always firmly and sincerely stating my opinions.
Tbh I find it really strange how anyone coud not appreciate the absolute quality work Pep is doing as a coach.
Opposition fans, haters, sure.
As a Bayern fan, being frustrated about certain things, being dissapointed about some crucial crunch time performances, sure.
Being annoyed by some of his public behavior, sure. But even then, not really.
But if you throw all fan posturing aside, and if you look at what counts, the football - how can you not see what an outstanding, unique manager he is.
Always thought you felt the same tbh.
I took your recent bad-mouthing of Pep as a play on your dissapointment he's not taking over Arsenal tbh

Don't know why I said 8 months
Well if you are serious then allow me to be serious for the next 5 minutes
Yea I rate Pep as one of the greatest of all time already. He definitely is unique and one of a kind Probably my top 3 managers if not top 2.
Anyone can see the wonders he has done everywhere he has been. Even at Bayern. The fact that he was expectedto win treble for the last 2 years should say it all. Winning CL is one of the most difficult things in football. And not all depend on tactics alone but a huge amount of luck too. Every CL winning team has had luck. From Chelsea to Barcelona to Madrid to Inter.
I was massively disappointed as well against Atleti as the last thing I wanted was to see Atletico ruining another CL final.
We'll undoubtedly see his quality at City. Will probably make them one of the best teams in Europe in 2 years.
I am not even bitter at him as much as I am bitter at Arsenal for not even trying to approach him.
Everything else is
just
banter (:

We've been spoiled by Trebles. Half of them have occurred in the past decade.
