Gotta love how City handled this, basically sacked Pellegrini in December and since then, they've been rubbish.

If they don't make the CL, there is no one to blame but the board for such a foolish move.

Anyway, Pep will be in it in 17/18.

City were poor (relative to their squad strength) far before the announcement about Pep this season. To put their season down to that (and let's be clear here, United have shown they have every chance of still screwing things up and allowing City to finish 4th too, making this thread irrelevant) is to relieve the players and staff of far too much of the blame.

Exactly they were 2 points off the top if I'm not mistaken don't see why Pelle would throw that away when he could've signed off with 2 league titles and CL semifinal (I believe he had 2 Carling cups or something), which would set the bench mark. Not to mention I'm pretty sure Pelle wanted the announcement made himself, so he could have another job lined up? He said he knew a month in advance before the announcement.
