Bournemouth v Liverpool
After Thursday's incredible drama and the Merseyside derby coming up on Wednesday, it's kinda nice to have a match in between that feels like a bit of breather. I don't mean that Bournemouth are easy - they're just three places below us - but many of our fans are probably willing to forgive even a defeat here after what happened against Dortmund.
That said, obviously we should try to win this one. However, I might give a few guys a rest, like Coutinho and Clyne. We played on Thursday and we'll play Everton - a much more important game than this - on Wednesday. Would be the perfect opportunity to hand Ibe a start, for instance. Maybe Smith or Flanagan, too, and perhaps Stewart? We'll see, but I'd like to see some rotation.

Re: Bournemouth v Liverpool
I think we'll win comfortably. The momentum is just too high at the moment. Almost all of our important players are fit, we have a bunch of good options. Our best players are all in form.
Very excited to continue this winning streak. Would be nice to climb up the table. I don't really care which position we finish but it will be nice to finish above United.

Re: Bournemouth v Liverpool
agreed,we need to rotate and start a balanced team which will win us that game. Wednesday game is even more important, but we still need to win few games in EPL now. We need to finish at least in top 6. We are not so far from top 6th position but other teams are managing to get points and be above us atm. So we need to quickly solidify the 6th position for us.

Re: Bournemouth v Liverpool
I would definitely lean towards a "B" team against Bournemouth. Given our fixture congestion and the injuries in the squad, we need to be very careful about the utilization of certain players, making sure we don't overtax key individuals ahead of important fixtures.
Personally, I would prioritize the Derby and the Semifinal over the league fixtures, effectively keeping key players on a weekly schedule. At this point, I could care less about the league. I'm of the opinion that we should try to win the Europa league in order to get into CL. Otherwise, I'd almost rather we not make Europe... But, that's a conversation for another thread.
My team for Bournemouth would be:
------------Sturridge
-------------Firmino
---Ojo--------------------Ibe
------Chirivella---Stewart
Moreno--------------------Clyne
----------Toure---Skrtel
--------------Mignolet
Sturridge and Firmino keep their places as Firmino came off ~60 min against Dortmund, and Sturridge only played ~30 mins total. Moreno and Clyne simply have no effective backups, but the remainder of the squad should be rotated.

Re: Bournemouth v Liverpool
Flanagan - Skrtel - Sakho - Moreno
Lallana - Lucas - Allen
Ibe - Sturridge - Ojo
Lallana - Lucas - Allen
Ibe - Sturridge - Ojo
I'd like that. Clyne, Coutinho and Milner deserve a rest.

Confirmed #LFC starting XI to face @afcbournemouth: Ward, Randall, Toure, Lucas, Smith, Allen, Stewart, Ibe, Ojo, Firmino, Sturridge.

Re: Bournemouth v Liverpool
It's a bit of a weird one.
I was hoping for rotation, but this feels a bit much... a debutant goalkeeper and that back four... oh my.

Re: Bournemouth v Liverpool
We had many chances actually, that front four is doing the trick and we scored two good goals, although Bournemouth have been poor.
Stewart and Allen midfield have been meh so far.

Apologies, I never hurt any fellow LFC fan's feelings. It is just so difficult for me to refer you by your name. I fail every time I guess.

I agree, calling Don't Eat Döner by his name is hard.
Didn't watch the 2nd half, but happy with the points. The race for the European spots is on.

Re: Bournemouth v Liverpool
Skrtel coming back and being absolute **** after our defence has been quite good without him was best case scenario. I mean, I love his passion for the team but he doesn't belong here anymore. He's just not good enough and was a big reason our defence was so bad under Rodgers.
