Quote of the week.
In a website I used to frequent, they had a nice tradition which consisted in selecting a statement every week as the best. It was usually a funny sentence, banter, tongue-on-cheek, but it could also be a serious, knoweledgeable, deep one. Also, the sentence can be about any topic or part of the forum. No need to be about football. The selected quote was then published on a side column on the homepage. We could put the quote under the "latest topics" on the right column.
Here is how we could do it: Everyone posts good quotes in this thread (individually, one post - one quote) and people upvote the ones they like. At the end of the week, the quote with the most upvotes is selected as the best quote of the week and put on the side column.
We should also give a fancy name to the quote of the week. I propose the "Zlatanest statement of the week", for Zlatan's known outspoken and tongue in cheek statements, but other name proposals are welcome.

Re: Quote of the week.
I start this with a first proposal as quote of the week:
BarrileteCosmico wrote:Only top manager able to keep his team in the Top 4. In a season where United, Chelsea, Liverpool and (soon) City are all struggling to make Europe with the power wave of Leicester, Spurs and West Ham, Arsene has kept his ship steady and achieved his goals comfortably. Underrated this season.

Good 1st choice, i think Wenger is the most prone to be subject to this kind of activities.
Can you propose your own quote?

Yes, you can IMO.
@RWO: can you run this to the admins and see if they agree with the idea and will put the weekly quote at the side column, below the "latest topics", with the title: Zlatanest statement of the week.

I think Collblancs answer is equally worth of being proposed for sentence of the week.

Great idea.
Might as well use the quotes for the social media surge we're going to embark for the purpose of promoting the forum.

New addition on Pep being a fraud:

Re: Quote of the week.
First proposal for this week:
Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:There's been plenty of times where Muller plays like crap and even misses open goals, makes crap passes and miscontrols in the box where others in the team wouldn't have done.
But sure he's the best because he's extremely intelligent and works hard
Muller is one of the biggest myths in football tbh, also if you are going to state importance which is the only argument you have with Muller tbh then Lewandowski wins every single day of the week and twice on Sunday seeing as they literally have no one to replace him and he's a perfect CF for their style of play.

More from GLS
Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:Couldn't think of a more apt description of Pardew if i tried tbh.
It's up there with describing Kanye West as someone who would " sing a lullaby to his daughter and get mad at her for falling asleep during the performance ".

Second Zlatanest statement of the week.
Admins, will you put them on the side of the web? It will make this thread pick up more steam IMO.

Re: Quote of the week.
I propose this han's phylosophical comment as zlatanest statement:
Hapless_Hans wrote:Collblanc wrote:thoughts?
I'm thinking that every day is a gift from God.
I'm not worried about what comes, when just to be alive and breathing in CL is unexpected, wondrously strange and beautiful.
I'll cherish every second like the manifestation on unreality that it is.
