Re: Juventus Vs Bayern München (CL 2015/16)
Crushed to concede in injury time like that.
Really devastating lost. The team walks away proud.
To all the harsh critics, look at our injuries. We are not so rich a team to shrug off 3 keys players being out. Yet they pinned Bayern back in Munich and were 2 minutes away from winning. That's besides the fact that Morata's goal was onside and that Neuer had an excellent game after a shaky start.
Allegri reinvented the team for that starting 11. New formation, new positions. Credit goes to him. Sturaro and Mandzukic didn't have the impact they usually have, but those are 100% valid subs. Those 2 always come through. Its just hindsight to put Max down for it.
With no Dybala, Mandzukic, Marchisio and Chiellini it weights you down. Imagine Barca starting without Messi, Suarez, Busquets and Pique. Or PSG without Ibra, Cavani, Motta and Thiago Silva. Its a whole lot harder to play.
Top Bayern team, top Juve team. Its a shame we met them so early.
What in the world is this?? Mandzukic was a treble winner before anyone even cared who Morata was. Sturaro played as much a role in our final run as Khedira did in your win.

I wouldn't take my word for it. I was obviously watching the Barca game so I could only watch the Bayern game on Whoscored. (:

I would have thought you would see a bigger importance in viewing the Bayern/Juve match since Pep went from being a big(ger) fraud to a tactical genius ala Lucho (:

You know that in case of a freekick, Manu Neuer can build the mighty Philipp Lahm wall against him again?zigra wrote:The one good thing I learned from this tie is that el komander won't have a problem destroying bayern once more.

I'm hearing the reason why Allegri subbed off Morata was because he was apparently " exhausted". How is a 23 yr old who barely gets some playing time exhausted from just playing 70min?

It's just some lame excuse for Allegri's terrible mistake.

Don't call me James wrote:Evra is at fault for the whole collapse. Shoul have just cleared the ball on Muller's goal instead of dribbling. And they would have won.
If we start the SHOULDS games it doesn't end there. Alaba should have cleared instead of miscontroling and Bayern would have never gone 0-1 and would have comfortably won. etc.

Genuinely surprised. While Juventus seemed too overcome playing their B team, they couldn't overcome the criminal decision by the ref on the third Juve goal which would have sealed the match for Juve.

'Yeah, very similar. He (Guardiola) didn't say 'neuter', but he said he will cut our balls,' the 26-year-old jokingly told reporters.

That's from an ESPN article.Marcotti on Morata substitution wrote:Allegri explained that the idea was for Mandzukic to offer a big physical target to hold the ball and let Juve move up the pitch, while providing a threat on set pieces.

I am not saying this because of butthurt or something. But IMO Bayern without Roben are just a good team, they are not in the same league as Barcelona. I hope that Barcelona draw Bayern, a lot of illusion's will be broken.

Re: Juventus Vs Bayern München (CL 2015/16)
It's true.
But that's like saying Barcelona without Messi would also be a lot weaker, especially over the last decade.
When you take out any team's very best player they generally are not quite on the same level.

Would be ofc, Messi is out of this world, but even without him Neymar - Suarez are a dream and with them they would still be half-step above the others.
