Re: Transfer Rumours V6
Considering Leicester ''s football is the exact opposite of Barça's I have serious concerns about his ability to adapt to possession football.

Agree.
I always thought Isco would made perfect Iniesta replacement but clearly that's out of question. How about Gotze though, that kid is seriously talented.

Mahrez is a winger lol, he couldn't replace Iniesta in any capacity.

But Algeria play a pretty rigid possession game nowadays. I mean we're not Barcelona but we never hoof the ball and he's the key to our attack..

He has played in the hole plenty of times, especially for Algeria where Feghouli plays on the right, and done just as good. Start watching games instead of looking at fifa positions.

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
I mean I haven't watched him in the position so I can't say for sure, but based on what I've seen from him, I'd be very concerned about playing him in Iniesta's position, and would certainly prefer him out on the wing.
EDIT: Wouldn't want Gotze tbh. Not really seeing what exactly he offers us off the wing tbh, and obviously he can't play in his favored #10 position either. He would just sit on our bench and then play on the wing where he isn't as good, and it's not like he's really broken into Bayern's team nor followed up on his immense potential. I guess what I'm saying is, he's too expensive and too talented to come to our team and be our backup, that's for his sake and ours.

We are Barça. We buy players and play them where we want and it works just fine most of the time. If the player has the qualities, he can adapt. And Mahrez has the qualities.

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
Read the club is as of now considering sending Halilovic back on loan next season, likely back to Sporting if they manage to not get relegated.
Also read that the club will definitely exercise the buy back option on Denis Suarez (only going to cost us 3M), and decide during the pre-season if he is going to stay or leave.
Also the rumor we are targeting a 50M for Laporte from Bilbao. If we sell Verm/Math and replace both of them with Laporte I would be impressed. We also need to sign a back up left back; reports we are looking at Adrian Marin (Villarreal - 19 years old), and Angelino (Manchester City, currently on loan at NYFC - 19 years old)

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
I like Suarez. He is a good player. But he plays as a wide midfielder. So the big question mark is can he transition to a more central role?
But then Turan has made a seamless transition and our midfielders do play like proxy wide midfielders nowadays. So I can see Suarez succeeding for us.

Also, this is popping up all over twitter...
Lucas Patanelli, the new Messi, has been won by Barcelona.
All reports say the same, that we paid $4 million for 50 per cent of his rights to Independiente, for first refusal rights.

I'd be ok with selling slow ass, yellow card waiting to happen Turan and just using Rafinha instead and Suarez as back up midfielders. Rafinha is pretty much a younger faster Turan, who has a higher ceiling, as Turan's likely already peaked at his current form. But whatever I know he isn't going anywhere so I'll just shut it.

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
I was against the Turan signing. I didnt think he could play for us. But so far, Turan has played exceptionally well imo. I must admit I was wrong and credit Enrique for the signing.
For the role Enrique wants his CM's to perform, Turan is pretty much perfect.
He has played the pseudo wide midfielder very well. Always Available for a pass, covers Alba well, links up well, plays it simple and doesnt lose the ball. Has also scored a couple of goals and provided a couple of assists.
If he was 3 years younger, I would have no complaints whatsoever.

http://www.espnfc.us/barcelona/story/2837023/marc-andre-ter-stegen-hints-at-possible-barcelona-exit
The 23-year-old has primarily been used in the club's UEFA Champions League and Copa del Rey campaigns, while the Chilean Bravo plays in La Liga matches.
Though Ter Stegen was on the field for Barca's Champions League and Copa del Rey triumphs last season, he expressed his concern with the lack of opportunities overall.
Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has hinted he may be forced to consider changing clubs if his number of appearances doesn't increase with the Blaugrana soon.
The German international has shared goalkeeping duties with Claudio Bravo since signing with the club from Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer of 2014.
"I want to take the next step and to play more. So the situation is clear: If nothing changes, we have to talk," Ter Stegen told TZ on Friday."In football, sometimes things go very quickly."
"At the end of the season I'll have played about 25 games. This is not a little, but when I return from the national team, I'll probably be back on the bench in La Liga, for the Clasico against Real Madrid." [on April 2].
"In the long run, these 25 games per season are not enough for me."
"The decision is made by the coach. I hope that the quality I've shown recently is rewarded."

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
although i feel bravo is the better shot stopper we should really consider selling him now (especially if madrid get de gea) wihle he is still good and profitable.
good keepers are in demand lately.
MaTS is the future and so young consistency would improve him, also he is more of a traditional barca keeper.

I feel Bravo is more safer option than his German colleague. Nothing against Stegen but I would like Bravo to stay if I had to choose one of them

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
agreed but the age factor, we're going to see bravo decline eventually and then we'll have to buy a new keeper.
saves us trouble with a slight downgrade but potentially in the future an upgrade.
ideally i'd like to keep both but if its a choice between which one leaves or plays less i'd rather it be bravo
also with all the rumors of our lack of sponsors and inability to give players new contracts because of fair play it might not be a luxury to have two world cup keepers.

Chelsea had the same issue with Cech and Courtois, I feel we made the right choice but selling Cech. I'd suggest Barca do a similar thing and sell Bravo.
