Ugh, hope Texeira does not go there...

One of China's current goals is to become a global powerhouse in football in the near future (next 30-35 years iirc), I'm talking like challenging for the World Cup type powerhouse. I'm sure the league is a large part of their plans in that.

If there is anything we know about China, it's that an economic meltdown wouldn't stop them from going off in the transfer market and trying to achieve their ultimate goal of footballing dominance (though I am not aware of how China's economy has been doing recently).

Pretty sure Teixeira's main aim with a move is to try to break into the Brazilian national team. China may offer money, but they won't help him with that goal. Chelsea, on the other hand, can offer both.

Only for the next two games and then he was quickly dismissed. Going to China is not a very good idea if you want to make and stay in the national team. It's very good for your bank account though.
