Really enjoying the Taken King so far. Cut scenes are so much better than in the base game, TDB or HoW. Cayde-6 is the clear and absolute standout, as most Nathan Fillion characters tend to be.

Despite these rare and uncommon weapons now having higher attack power than my legendary and exotic weapons, when compared, there is literally no value in using them so I've continued breaking them down for weapon parts. A tad confusing, but oh well.

Very interested to see what Xur has this weekend and what changes he's made as well.

Depending on the difference in Attack/Defense power, it is honestly worth it to use the Uncommon and Rare weapons over previous Legendaries and Exotics as they raise your overall "light" rating, which in turn makes makes enemies easier to defeat AND makes high stat weapons drop. You'll need to use some greens and blues to be able to run the Heroic missions and strikes for Legendary Marks so that you can get the new purple weapons and armor you want, probably.

Now that i'm finally on board i'll end up getting that if there's enough content. I seen the DLC was £25 to pre-order though so now I know why people on GL who played from the beginning got scared away.

That's one hell of a meaty price tag for DLC, barely 10 quid less than I paid for the full Skyrim edition when it was relatively new, entire game and 2 giant DLCs included.

I think they didn't handle the DLC marketing as well as they could have.

People are jumping on the current offer of the taken king as its cheap and has all 3 DLC packs. People will be put off if one individual DLC pack is worth £25 alone and has very little content.

Witcher 3 DLC pack is longer than Uncharted 4 and a lot of other games. But is only priced at £20 for example.

Looking forward to Rise of Iron.

My Titan is 315, my Hunter is 312 and my Warlock is 309. I won't commit to just one of them for whatever reason. Like playing with all of them. Just did a 6-man Iron Banner playlist with some guys I hooked up with over at The 100 and it was a ridiculous amount of fun. Doing King's Fall Hard mode tomorrow night with some of them. Will probably plan a Nightfall run sometime next week.

Xur's drops have been garbage though so it's been 3 of coins or just harvesting exotics for their shards.

Maybe it's because I'm more of a casual gamer these days and only really play on the weekends, but people gave up on this game way too easily. I don't necessarily care for how Bungie has rolled out new content, but that dislike wasn't enough to keep me from playing it. Because I develop my characters much slower, I suppose it seems like there's still a lot more to do. I dunno. Not even ashamed that I play this game pretty regularly still.

Game was fun but having smashed through almost everything on it, definitely not £80 worth. I'd expect like 3 more planets for that price. Thank god I waited.

That's fair enough i suppose, i enjoyed it until i ran through the story and other co-op content. But i couldn't keep going back after that for extra loot and didn't want to pay the extra money really.

If the game was sold with those 3 DLC packs included then it was absolutely worth it. It's a really good game but back then it lacked content and it pissed me off how they treated the fans.

If you don't buy the DLC, you get locked out of stuff which you could do before the DLC Laughing

Just finished playing Rise of Iron for about 5 hours today. Got my Warlock up 21 light levels after completing the story missions, 2 strikes and some patrolling. Gonna do the same with my other 2 characters this week. The drops have been great so far.
