I don't know which is funnier, PSG leading by 19 points or that the 2nd placed team have a goal-difference of only +2. Would be a very tight league without PSG (:

I get the feeling that Lucas doesn't fit all to well as part of a front 3, he isn't on the same wavelength as Ibra and ADM imo
As i type this Maxwelll has just scored, 2-0

Veratti and professional fouls. He doesnt even try to disguise it
Both Cavani and Lucas work hard but dont add much to PSGs attacks. Lucas had some nice moves but was generally very cold
That Maxwell goal though was awesome

^Yeah, he was just pitiful trying to catch there, really stupid to do that
I'm was kinda having my hopes up in that he can function in a Motta like role but for Italy, but i guess not, him and Motta are different breeds

Re: Ligue 1 15/16 Thread
Hmm not sure he'd work in front of the defence but with a defensively astute player next to him he would flourish. He has good ball control, pressing, passing and pressing that could and should be taken advantage of by Conte i think. No need to restrict him by playing him so deep. Too undisciplined for that imo. Whats wrong with Motta? Has he retired? Or hasnt been able to carry his PSG for over?

Michel is possibly the worst coach in france given the resource he has.
I hope his name will never again be mentioned as a potential RM coach, just pathetic

Thanks .
It's owned by the club since we financed most of it with our own funds + debt . that's the main reason Lyon wasn't splashing large sums of money on star players and struggling in the past few years .
Projected yearly earnings from the new stadium are thought to be in the nine figures tho .

Imbula, Kondogbia, Guilavogui, Schneiderlin and Gonalons
All massive frauds hyped to death at some point or another.
Coquelin is easily better than all of them despite being 9th choice DM for france

pretty sure Sports has hyped all of them at some point to a ridiculous level, they are all frauds indeed. Bunch of average players. I feel bad for france, they dont have a midfield. it's no surprise Blanc is praying to have a fit Lass next summer
lets no forget cabaye and sissoko

Re: Ligue 1 15/16 Thread
Matuidi needs to be in top form as he is the only reliable defensive minded midfielder. Let's see who partners him and Pogba.
Sissoko is a good option to have around tbh. At least he has great energy unlike all the other midfielders. Cabaye shouldn't be picked (neither should valbuena). But both will be in there due to the alarming lack of good midfielders

In fairness to Cabaye he's the only CM they have with any sort of passing range and vision.

Re: Ligue 1 15/16 Thread
their midfield is already set
Matuidi-Diarra-Pogba
Griezman-xxx-xxxx
the sex tape scandal changed things for the offense, but there is a massive campaign by french football peops to get benzema back (zidane, former players, aulas, they pressured valbuena so much he already forgave benzema, FFF president etc...)
they all forgot it's not their decision but the judge though

Re: Ligue 1 15/16 Thread
it doesnt really matter since their goal is to be a physical counter attacking team tbh, dont buy the whole deschamps has philosophy to play possession football sports talk about. France usually play like shit, they will grind out games in the euros, that's the Deschamps styleGreat Leader Sprucenuce wrote:In fairness to Cabaye he's the only CM they have with any sort of passing range and vision.

Re: Ligue 1 15/16 Thread
Doesn't matter what the philosophy is really, every team needs a player in midfield who can look up and break lines of defenders with a pass.
Successful ones at the very highest level anyway, ain't winning shit with a Pogba-Matuidi-Diarra MF imo.

Re: Ligue 1 15/16 Thread
The midfield was always going to be Pogba-Cabaye-Matuidi for Deschamps anyway . None of the hyped frauds were destined to start .
The perception of us having " ridiculous depth" in midfield was Thoroughly shattered tho .

Re: Ligue 1 15/16 Thread
The lack of genuine talent is shocking. Feels like no team is producing good enough players anymore (mainly because of no money in the league).
Fekir is the only legit one. Maybe France can try Pogba-Matuidi-Fekir in a 4-2-3-1 with Griezman and Martial on either wings and Giroud upfront.
Hopefully Valbuena isn't playing anywhere near the front 3.

Re: Ligue 1 15/16 Thread
For me the ideal front 3 in that formation would be Ben Arfa-Payet-Griezmann .
But obviously Ben arfa wont be starting and Payet wont get called up .
