Re: Preseason discussion
Basically, it is rare to find people who are cool enough to be considerably intelligent, open-minded, self-aware, funny, AND fundamentally well-meaning.
What i'm positing is that you don't quite fulfill all those requirements, and as a reader and poster i tend to look past what you write as i don't find it funny and it is usually antagonistic against us in a manner that is not necessarily as purely tongue in cheek or intellectually sound as you may think it is.
Most people don't fulfill all of these requirements, not even I do many times of course.
I'll go ahead and say that the best poster award that this forum has ever seen would probably go to Nick.
Futbol bill- Senile
Sports- knowledgable but helplessly biased
van deez- can be smart but is more flawed than i originally thought
etc.
That's my two cents.

Freeza of course ranks low in my rankings, but i agree, let's go back to topic in the thread.
and my posts have been flagged to the moderators again by some snowflake. I'll probably make a video or voice message to say bye to this place as i'm too busy and whenever i post or read i dont agree with anything and peeps gets pissed off. No more use to it.
As ridiculous, arrogant, and mindless, as it may sound, i'm somewhat analagous to this forum's Christopher Hitchens.

Trust me, not one thing would make me prouder than having you think lowly of me. It’s truly a badge of honour.
Also congratulations on the new forum high score in amount of personal insults. I of course reported both posts as they’re clearly violating forum rules.

While obviously I may just be not that funny or smart, another reason for these impressions of yours surely is that of course I'm a proud and staunch Real Madrid hater so if some of my posts about Real come across as forced, bitter, antagonistic, that would be because they are.

I'm not upset about this. It's when it starts getting out of hand like that 7-3 mauling, that's when I get anxious. And I understand the concerns, they are real concerns. But the positive is, the season hasnt started.

Midfield will be much better when Casemiro comes back, however, no backup DM which was one of Zidane's main problems in his first stint and its biting him in the ass again. No way Modric and Kroos are capable of covering ground like Casemiro can

Re: Preseason discussion
Lmao just can't see what the plan is exactly, everything is random asf, what is zidane telling these guys be more intense? What the system? Wait until the opponents are tired and have a go?
I'm very surprised how zz is handling this preseason, he clearly isn't giving any real instructions or trying to apply some new tactics consistently, it's like pogba or bust which is ridiculous when you look at the other players the team could get for decent prices one or two, this is why I hate this mou/pep type shit which can easily backfire, wish the team would go back to using a sporting director and coach just focus on coaching he has instead acting like know it all as versatile isco continues to suck ass and taking minutes from better players, hey didn't he play 10 today? his best position? That will fix everything? Wish a we had a player like James who actually knows to play the position.... oh wait he isn't a zz players lmao, just take the L let James back into the team if you gonna use a 10 zz ffs, let's resurrection of isco career die please.

Re: Preseason discussion
Okay, I have a theory, and I know it may sound crazy, but all signs are pointing to its legitimacy.
Have you ever noticed that Zidane is always focused on the sidelines? Even when Madrid scores a dramatic last-minute goal in the CL final, he always stays calm as if he had something else more important to keep pouring the bulk of his concentration into?
At first, I thought it was an admirable trait (and I still do), but the image posted by hala made me notice something I had always overlooked before. Look closely at the image, it looks as though Zidane is controlling the players psychokinetically - from a distance without the use of any physical energy and while purely and solely relying on his earth-shattering mind powers.
This would also explain why he never seems to have a well-defined tactical plan and why he always and categorically refuses to replace the old guards in the team. Why would you need a tactical plan when you can puppeteer your way to victory solely by manipulating the players (even those from the opposition) to do exactly what you want and give you the win on a silver platter?
Do you really believe that Karius' inexplicable and unprecedented blunder in the CL final against Madrid was just down to a bad day at the office? Or was it maybe due to a mysterious, dark force on the sidelines? What about Bale's scissor kick? The guy had spent all season playing like a wasted 5-year old, then he gets subbed in and BOOM! 5 min later, he does something that he had never done before in his career as anamateur golfer professional footballer.
His supporters were right when they said that there's no way you can fluke your way to three CL trophies. Zidane didn't win those by sheer luck. He won them because he had something that no one else has or ever will. and it's something that transcends tactics, motivation and everything in between.
Ladies and gentlemen, it is my absolute pleasure to present one of Marvel's and Stan Lee's greatest creations:

Well, you're wrong, he doesnt always stay calm (not that there's anything wrong with that either, it's an emotional sport). He has ripped at least one or two pair of pants on the sidelines. And has rolled on the floor too lol. Could just be that the cameras catch him in the calm moments

4-4-2 diamond? Where are you getting that from?
The posted lineup is 5-2-2-1
Benz; Isco, Hazard; Kroos, Casemiro;
Marcelo, Ramos, Varane, Milatao, Carvajal

Re: Preseason discussion
When Casemiro declines we are done. He is a lifesaver in this team
Our best halves this preseason have been when Hazard has played next to Benz up top.
Militao has been great. Very assured on the ball in his pseudo LB role.
Bar one slip when have not let in any attacks in our box. It helps to have 3 athletes aa CBs, maybe the 352 is the way forward, it protects Kroos, Casemiro and Marcelo perfectly
Offensively there has been a few miscommunications and misplaced passes but this is by far the best we've played this preseason. Very complete defensively and offensively

Re: Preseason discussion
It's a 3-5-2
The system isn't bad, performance has been ok. But the attacking side of this system relies on the front two way too much.
Isco has been terrible. He can't play in this system. Looks lost.

Good thing the front two are good with their backs to goal. Literally the key to this 352 working smoothly. I'd play it in the opening game tbh
