Yeah, Turan seems to be over the moon in joining us he's been so happy and talking a lot about the club. I'm not going to say this is good business, as it isn't we all know, but I have to say I'm happy for him and who knows he may prove us wrong and offer something we need this season and may win another treble or at least CL (one can hope).

if nobody is going to win CL twice in a row then who needs quality anyway. team needs to be ready for 2017 season

Turan is just fine up front, it's just Simeone's approach that made him look somewhat limited.

Hell yeah I would be. Don't know who that Carrasco guy is but Otamendi and Mustafi are beasts & Vietto is a very promising young lad I wanted us to sign earlier as well. Mathieu is bang average (didn't like him from the very start) and Turan's good but old (especially in comparision with Vietto) and expensive af.

Rakitic's passing is sublime, I think with Busi and Messi around we would be just fine keeping possession. Though I agree that with Xavi no longer there we are losing a lot. It's time to introduce Samper.

I read a headline today that Bart said Lucho doesn't want Pogba. I didn't read the details though. So it could be a misinterpretation.

That's a very important point. Last season some of us fans were unhappy that the team usually played with a counter-attacking style but we were still capable of reverting to our possession based style as and when needed and when we did that we could still be better than almost anyone else.

Apparently Gundogan was as good as ours, was even in Barcelona to hold talks. It was Lucho himself that shot thst down, apprently he rates Turan more

That's just awful and this signing is ridiculous.

That being said people are talking about Gundogan like it's 2012. Has anyone seen him since then really? And he's still a pretty big risk as far as his injuries go. Would I prefer to have him to Arda? Of course! Do I rate him as a player? I was a big fan, as everyone was, back during Dortmund's CL run.

I haven't seen him since though and he had an injury that kept him out of football a (relatively) hella long time, so I'm wary about talking about him like he's this sure thing that would have slotted right in and been a good player for us.

Ultimately I would have taken the risk, but I can understand why one might not.

I think its a risk from our point of view, as fans.

But it is relatively simple in this day and age to collect all of each and every one of Gundogen's games this season and analyse the player he is today. So if im someone in charge of making transfer decisions, I wouldnt call it a risk any more than any other player with a big injury in their past.

So Barca bought Arda for more than Arturo Vidal who was apparently available. I've never particularly rated Vidal and his CL final performance confirmed that he's a headless chicken who just kicks people all over the place. Don't like a character who drives drunk with his family either. But surely he's still a better footballer than Arda.

I'd say they're on the same level and if I got to choose I'd pick Arda again

I have to say I'm beginning to worry about Samper's Barca future. An anti-cantera Prez plus a coach who can't look past tier2 LL players. If he continues to prefer Scruberto, I'm afraid we'd lose Samper to City when the Baldie's appointed next summer.

I'd take Vidal over Turan.

I don't even know what position is suppose to be Turan's best, lol. I surely don't think he should play as the type of midfielder Barca needs/uses.

Vidal is much better than Arda.

Arda looks better, he is technically more refined if you want to say that...but overall, Vidal is better.

Better physically, tackles, runs, dribbles, has occasional moments of great skill. He is a little too loose with the ball on occassion but aside from that...he is a fine midfielder if you make sure he is around genuine creators.

Plus Vidal can play many more positions.

Kicking around everybody is being good physically now? They're on the same level in every aspect, there's nothing special about Vidal besides that he's a major asshole.

I know that Arda ain't no saint either and as I said they're pretty much on the same level in every aspect, that is kicking around everybody too. But they're equal and Vidal ain't "much better". Maybe at driving he is tho.
