Re: Barclays Premier League 15-16 Discussion-v1
No way we would sign Kane this window.
Pedro could be the man. Pretty sure lvg will play him striker/second striker in a 4-4-2 with rooney with depay eventually taking up young's role on the left.
And that could very well be our only remaining buy this window as the boss is hellbent on converting Daley Blind to a center back it seems.
lvg's vision of united.

Re: Barclays Premier League 15-16 Discussion-v1
I thought LVG had pointed to Darmian being a back-up? lol
Still...for the amount of money that United have spent over the last two years I find their team to be kind of underwhelming. Especially at the back. Blind will be a disaster at CB...his best role is as a deep midfielder, and is ok as a fullback.
Hasn't Romero always had poor club form and great NT form? Not that it matters since De Gea hasn't left yet.
United are not making top 4 this season.

Yea lvg said that, but darmian proved his class in the four matches he played. Was the best player in the pre season tour and that despite having communication and other issues.
So we united fans right now like to think I guess that its going to be darmian who is the 1st choice. He earned his place. However that to lvg is of little value as is evidenced right now by his treatment of herrera.
As far as Blind its the other way around. He is a mediocre center midfielder and a very capable full back.
And as for the last cl spot, United's midfield, liverpool's plethora of strikers and harry kane will decide that eventually.

Yeah, should be interesting to see. For my money Herrera is United's best midfielder and he still didn't see nearly as much game time as he should have last season.

Trust me...he's much better as a deep midfielder, or wide midfielder, than he is as a fullback.

I do think it will be close, but ultimately I think that Liverpool have really done well with their improvements this year, and last season was kind of a situation where everything that could go wrong for us did go wrong. Adding Firmino, Benteke, Ings, Milner and Clyne to replace Borini, Balotelli, Lambert, Gerrard and Johnson is going to be a pretty big difference, IMO. Hopefully the rest of the squad can stay fit.

Unless Harry Kane goes even further than last year i really can't see Spurs finishing above Liverpool. They are just not that good and Liverpool should finish above them.

Liverpool will strongly fight for 4th with United/Arsenal
Spurs will finish 6th by default unless someone else has a better season like Southampton/Swansea

Bold statement. What makes you so confident we won't make top 4?

Even i don't feel United will have an easy ride to top4 unlike last season, The other guys were too shit. Liverpool just gave up after the Anfield loss lol.

Re: Barclays Premier League 15-16 Discussion-v1
Disagree tbh
Despite LVG sounding, looking and acting like a clown. I think he knows what he is doing tbh.
He isn't some scrub manager. He is just stubborn and has his own principles which he sticks to. Bit like a shit version of Arsene.
But He is definitely taking United forward.

Re: Barclays Premier League 15-16 Discussion-v1
Meh with Mole.
Don't think he will be successful with what he is trying to do with this United squad at the moment. Especially if his goal is to win the PL before he retires in 2017? 2018? like he said.
CL places is all I see for him, and probably the odd League Cup/FA Cup.

Re: Barclays Premier League 15-16 Discussion-v1
If Sturridge starts 30/38 games for us in the league we'll get top 4. Otherwise a lot will depend on Benteke. But if the two of them can divide the scoring weight oh man we'll have a nice season.
Our midfield and attack is very capable this season unlike last season.
Defense has improved since John Glenson is gone thank the lords (10 hail mary's, 5 our fathers). But not by much since we've got the biggest fraudulent culprit skinhead Skrtel somehow still managing to start games. And of course David Brent's love child Lovren. But if Sakho-Ilori start we'll be good.
Depth is good too.

Gil wrote:Chelsea will be fine as long as we can keep both Hazard and Cesc fit. It's the Champions League we have no chance in. We still need 3 new starters (LB, CB & RW) and a really good depth option in CM for big away games when Mourinho inevitably parks the bus. A player like Witsel would be ideal considering his versatility & the tactical flexibility he would give the team.
In the Premier League there are no teams on the level of Madrid, Barca, Bayern & arguably even PSG. I would definitely be worried about Arsenal if they miraculously sign Benzema or City if they complete the KDB deal otherwise, Hazard & Mourinho should walk the League again.
I mean apart from Liverpool who else has significantly improved this window with their signings? City have still only signed Sterling, Arsenal only brought in Cech & United lost their best player.
lmfaooooooooo ffs
a whole season calling him a fraud, now we will suffer because he is leaving
