Bought the Shadow Hunter Bow and Shadow Tripcaster as those are the ones I use the most, spent all my cash on it ffs

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
You won't finish it lol, no need to rush it and there's a lot of good side quests too tbh.
If you really want to start Zelda just come back to it when you are done.

Remember when I said I died multiple times and the successful attempt took like 15 minutes.
Yep it was Stormbird lol, hardest thing I have faced easily.
Easiest way is Ropecaster, lots of sniper version of arrows can't remember the name to weak points , fire arrows to the green canisters.
Even though it's still hard as *bleep*.

Didn't realise that when you do a manual save it shows how many hours you have logged

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
not checked mine, imagine I'm about 10 to 12 hours in. I think I'm gonna do everything I can within my level on the map before going to Meridian. Already done 2 of what looks to be 4 Cauldrons, 2 of 4 or 5 of the Longneck things. Done 3 Bandit camps, qualified for Hunting Lodge challenge etc.
Probably stupid because the main story quests will send you to these areas but I did the same thing in TW3 too. Cleared out everything I could before progressing through the story.
Think I'm level 25 or 24..came across some huge ass thing called Thunderjaw last night randomly in the wild, ran for my life ffs

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
One thing i also like about the game is that levelling up doesn't massive overpower you, it just gives you a skill point and 10 more health.
The gear and weapons is what effects how powerful you are, i'm level 36 and level 25 things don't feel any less dangerous than they did 10 levels ago.
Although Shadow level gear basically gives you everything you need in a fight tbh, after that it's how you execute.

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
Just died for the first time to enemies. Saw a group in the wilderness being attacked, so I helped them, didn't realize they were bandits, I tried rolling and got insta killed by an arrow headshot I guess lol.
Also randomly took on a stormbird, definitely worth it though as they drop nice loot

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
smfh, had some disgusting glitches in this game..just explored far north and had a big boss battle against a stormbird that was hard AF..so I'm exploring around and get some weird clipping bug that won't ever let me go to the left, had to fast travel MILES away through and insanely tough area I have to trek back to, bs

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
Got to some ruins that I couldn't for the life of me see how to progress down
googled it, no wonder the area before it was difficult
apparently it's late game stuff ffs
aesthetic and setting in this game are the best since Bloodborne imo

Stormbirds are disgusting even on Normal, I have faced every enemy in the game and nothing comes close to them.

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
Had an uneblievably epic battle just now, went to do a corrupted zone and I come across a convoy nearby with a new HUGE machine that's level 20-25 but inside the corrupted zone itself were level 35 (I'm lvl 27) machines that were taking half of my HP in 1 attack, so I was running away and I ran into the convoy and the convoy started to battle the corrupted machines while I was hanging back for like 15 minutes smashing them too. Was legit mayhem, like 10 huge machines on screen at once spamming AOE attacks at each other
I basically just reaped the rewards and let them fight, they dropped insane shards and loot

What was that huge machine BTW lol?
I love watching machines fight each other lol, set Snapmaws on each other earlier was unreal.

Low level convoys can damage more than half my HP in 1 attack, and I'm level 30-ish. Easy mode. PLz go

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
Behemoth and Rock something, The Rock machines were level 35 corrupted and insane, they smashed a Behemoth Together.
Just looked it up, they were called Rockbreakers
Looking at my machine notebook, I've seen everything in the game except one ? after the stormbird and before the longneck

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
I just did 3 because they said you need 3 half suns (silver medal) to do the hunters lodge quests in Meridian, some look genuinely tough and are obviously designed for you to come back to later
Started getting lots of purple mod drops so I'm doing a lot better damage to stuff now, killed 3 stormbirds and even on easy it takes like 7-10 minutes and they are tough AF

Technically yes, you can get gear and weapons out of it at the end.
I stopped trying though, I'm so bad at these type of challenges.
